UK: Shopkeeper fined for taking on thieves

A shopkeeper has been fined £250 and given a criminal record because he fought back when he was attacked by shoplifters.

Jacob Smyth chased three youths out of his hardware shop in Penzance, Cornwall, when he was set upon. When he was kicked in the groin by one of the hooded youths who had stolen cans of spray paint Mr Smyth hit back.

Police issued fixed penalty tickets to the shoplifters but charged Mr Smyth and a colleague with assault.

Yesterday he pleaded guilty to assault at Truro Magistrates’ Court. He claimed after the hearing that he had been advised to plead guilty because otherwise he could have faced a six month prison sentence.

Whatdahay....Illegals are kicking us in the nutz every day....and we aren't supposed to do anything about it.....in fact, Whoregay and his amnesty bunch are standing in line with the illegals to take their turn at us too!



edit: I am reminded of threads in our Forums that iterated stories about citizens on our southern border that were effed over for protecting their property against foreign invaders......I also remember border patrol agents effed over FOR DOING THEIR JOB. The list could go on and on...so this little anectdotal story about some poor slob in the UK getting the purple shaft, although sad in it's own right, ain't nuthin'....in fact, we've been treated with these UK stories before.....but we, as a nation, are getting drop kicked in the scrote 24/7/365.

Self defense has been illegal in Britian for a long long time. Why the Brits don't rise up and at least vote themselves a decent government is beyond me. They now have an apologist PM whose greatest fear is offending the very muslims who want his head.

If self defense is illegal, then defense of the citizenry is therefore the solely the responsibility of the government. Therefore, when the government cannot protect its citizens, shouldn't the citizen then be able to sue for compensation from the government? After all, this only follows through the leftists' logical thinking (such as it is).

Winston Churchill must be spinning around in his grave, with all those fruity candy asses being led around by their balls by a bunch of weenies running the government. I'll be damned if I will obey any law that our own pussified public servants may drum up aganst self-defense. Yes, but to prepare for a totalitarian state, you must have obedient serfs. Self defense might lead to questioning authority, and that might lead to resistance. Bully them into submission first, and they will not resist the pan-European totalitarian state that Hitler and Stalin dreamed of.
