Volvo could return to Swedish ownership after one of the country's wealthiest families became the Ford subsidiary's latest suitor.

The Wallenberg family controls Investor AB, a publicly quoted Swedish investment conglomerate which already owns an 11 per cent stake in truck maker Scania.

Investor AB is understood to be considering a bid as part of a consortium of investors for Volvo Cars, owned by the US-based Ford. Unions would welcome Swedish ownership, which could give it an advantage over other foreign-led bids.Source: The Independent (http://news.independent.co.uk/business/news/article2725629.ece)

Now that Ford has sufficiently ruined Volvo, why would the Swedes want it back? They'll have alot of work to do to fix things.

There's nothing wrong with any Vulva that a few left-wing bumper stickers can't hold it back together.

Ford wants to shed other elements of its global empire to aid its floundering US operation and has already confirmed that it's looking for buyers for Britain's Jaguar and Land Rover. Ford is hurting and wants to unload all those subsidiaries they bought in an attempt to out-grow GM... It was an idea that sounded good at the time...

So anyone offering to buy Volvo should be able to negotiate a pretty good deal on a brand that has good name recognition and potential for significant PR growth if quality is injected back into the company...

BMW has some quality problems of their own, but I still think they could improve Volvo over what Ford has done... Its a win situation for any of the buyers, IMO...

After Ford joined the Queer Agenda I have to say its good news the Swedes are trying to get Volvo back.

My dad worked for a Ford dealership back in the 1980's and they gave him a good deal on a car and that car only brought nightmares and endless tales of having to repair it 100 times a year.

Even before the Queer takeover Ford was garbage.

However my dad's Ford Explorer still works.

You couldn't give me a Ford.

OR a Volvo.
