Los Angeles Mayor Acknowledges Relationship With TV Reporter

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who is in the midst of divorce proceedings with his wife, acknowledged he is in a relationship with a Spanish-language television reporter, according to a statement published Tuesday.

The mayor and his wife separated last month after 20 years of marriage. Corina Villaraigosa filed for divorce June 12, a day after the mayor told reporters in a City Hall news conference that he took the blame for his crumbling marriage.

At the time, he wouldn't answer whether he was romantically involved with someone else, citing his family's privacy.

But Villaraigosa issued a statement, published Tuesday by the Los Angeles Daily News, acknowledging his involvement with Telemundo newswoman Mirthala Salinas, after the paper told the mayor it was set to publish a story about their relationship....http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,287840,00.html

Telemundo Puts Reporter on Leave Over Relationship With Los Angeles Mayor

LOS ANGELES — Spanish-language network Telemundo has placed a newscaster on leave while it investigates whether her romantic relationship with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa breached journalistic ethics, TV station KVEA said Thursday.

The Telemundo affiliate announced the probe two days after Villaraigosa, whose wife has filed for divorce, acknowledged he had been in an extramarital affair with newswoman Mirthala Salinas for about a year.

Tony "the thug" Villar has fallen on his sword probably to divert attention from his friend and fellow hispanic, City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo who has used his office to hide the fact that his wife has been driving city vehicles with no insurance or driver's license. It was suspended because of too many accidents. Not that the Rock has insurance. He doesn't.

What is unusual about this whole thing is that a California politician, male, actually likes women. And I have to admit the babe is not too shabby. His moral fiber fits the liberal mold quite well and that is what we should expect from democrats if they ever get back in control of everything.
