Vladimir Bukovksy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bukovsky), the 63-year old former Soviet dissident, fears that the European Union is on its way to becoming another Soviet Union. In a speech he delivered in Brussels last week Mr Bukovsky called the EU a “monster” that must be destroyed, the sooner the better, before it develops into a fullfledged totalitarian state.

According to the EU police, something called "xenophobia" is a crime? What in the Hell is that supposed to mean? No court in the world has ever defined that, so we have to guess at it.

But that's pretty simple to do. What organization is responsible for creating love and harmony among all nationalities? The European Union, of course.

In other words, if you disagree with anything the (unelected) European Paliment wants, they can arrest you.

A lot of idiots think of the EU as something like forming the Colonies into the United States. But it isn't. America's Constitution was written primarily to keep the federal government out of our lives - to provide as little central control as possible, and to keep citizens in one state from telling citizens in another state how to live.

The EU is being designed from the beginning with the intent to accomplish the exact OPPOSITE goal.

Bukovsky hits the nail squarely on the head. The EU will be totalitarian in a way only the Soviets and Nazis could imagine, all for the betterment of the hoi polloi as mandated by the übermensch elites.

I think that history is a tug of war between the two class societies against the third. Two class societies include patricians and proletariats or Roman times, nobles and serfs of medieval times, and commissars and the proletariat of ultra-socialist times. The third class, the 'middle' class bougoise has always been hated by the other two, and always stuggled to exist and prosper.

Many Europeans today just feel more comfortable in the serf/proletariate class - less struggle, more excuses to be lazy losers. They don't mind that the ruling class tells them what they can and can't do with their lives, and takes away everyone's freedom and independence.

In the spirit of "Follow the Money Trial" advice - this is all about maximizing power and being at the top and in control of overwhelming corruption. IMO, to really understand it, you need to set political ideology aside; and think more in terms of an organized crime syndicate with control over the activities of more than 300 million people; and all their stuff.
