While we were at Branson (http://www.freeconservatives.com/vb/showthread.php?t=48830) this past weekend, our son, conservatour, and his wife picked about 4 pounds of figs from our fig tree and left us a couple of pints. Since we returned late Monday afternoon, we have picked another quart or two. There are still dozens, if not hundreds of ripening figs still on the tree. Since they are ripening so fast, we have to pick them a couple of times a day to beat the birds and the squirrels to them.
Mrs. Tex has started to make some fig preserves from the figs we have already picked.
