email ignorance: Importing settings 2 Thunderbird

I need Thunderbird as my email app so that i can once again send HTML based email messages for promotions.

my comcast account works in MAC MAIL

I can not for the life of me get Thunderbird to Import the settings in MAIL.

The overwhelming majority of Freecers are Wintel users, so I doubt that we'll be of much help. I'd suggest using the Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/) support pages (http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/).
