Britain could reduce its carbon emissions to zero over the next 20 years – but it would mean no flying, an annual carbon allowance for all and a diet almost without meat or milk, a report said.

The findings by the Centre for Alternative Technology in west Wales go further than any other scientific body or environmental group by suggesting that Britain could cut its energy use by 50 per cent by 2027 and supply this entirely by wind and wave power.

All road transport would be electric and lorries would double up by using their engines to generate power for the National Grid when they were not being used.

* One hot dog a year and no other meat. Al Gore gets an exception and can eat meat whenever he wants at no charge, since he's so important and all.

* No a-c in summer. Sweat, bitch. Well, except for Al Gore, who has to feel good to keep dreaming up shit for the rest of us to submit to.

* Bicycle to work. Cars banned ever after except for Al Gore, who is too important to have to bicycle.

* First aid clinics only except for Al Gore, who is too important to have to suffer with appendicitis, broken arms, cancer, etc, like everybody else.

* No more vacations. Well, except for Al Gore, who is so important that he MUST have a vacation every year so he can take care of the rest of us.

* Rationed electricity, except for Al Gore who needs more because his mansion requires it.

* No more planes. Uh, except for Mr Gore, who needs his own personal fleet in order to make everybody else comply with his program to cool down the sun earth.

I resent that they expect me to be miserable.
I just tell veggies that I will eat what I want to eat and they are free to do the same. Then I inform them that, according to clinical studies, by eating a low fat/low cholesterol diet, they are going to outlive me by an average of 6 months. But, by eating a higher fat/higher cholesterol diet, I'M likely going to die of "natural causes", whereas THEY are more apt to be murdered, commit suicide or die in a violent car crash. I then inform them this is due to the biological FACT we humans are PRIMATES and NEED fat and cholesterol in our diets or we become VERY aggressive. Leaves 'em either sputtering, speechless, or POd...no matter, it's fun to watch. :evilgrin:
