View Full Version : We can't ignore the sun

According to the headlines last week, the sun is not to blame for recent global warming: mankind and fossil fuels are. So Al Gore is correct when he said, "the scientific data is in. There is no more debate."
Of that the evangelical BBC had no doubt. There was an air of triumphalism in its coverage of the report by the Royal Society.
It was perhaps a reaction to the BBC Trust's recent criticism of the Corporation's bias when reporting climate change: but sadly, it only proved the point made by the Trust.

The BBC was enthusiastically one-sided, sloppy and confused on its website, using concepts such as the sun's power, output and magnetic field incorrectly and interchangeably, as well as not including any criticism of the research.
But there is a deeper and more worrying issue. Last week's research is a simple piece of science and fundamentally flawed. Nobody looked beyond the hype; if they had, they would have reached a different conclusion.

When the next Ice Age kicks in, I hope Al is still around, so that all the scientists dumb enough to kiss his ass can then kick his ass all around the world.

Excellent article with many good replies afterwards ....
The world certainly warmed between 1975 and 1998, but in the past 10 years it has not been increasing at the rate it did. No scientist could honestly look at global temperatures over the past decade and see a rising curve.
Honesty ? In the field Science ? Socialist Politics has taken over that field

Why do you think Algore and Kennedy and BJ Clinton are packing on the blubber ? They KNOW warming is a lie and are preping themselves for the IceAge ...

Yes, here in the desert it's hot and dry due to fossil fuel and global warming. In fact, it's so bright outside I had to purchase another pair of global warming glasses. I laid out by the pool too long yesterday and got a fossil fuel burn. The sun has nothing to do with it. Last night I'm certain it was the moon causing the incessant heat. I'm glad Al Gore straightened me out!

I am sure the burning of Fossil Fuels by the Venutians caused all of the smog on Venus .... Algore just doesn't want Earth to be like Venus ... :D

A scientist's first allegiance should not be to computer models or political spin but to the data: that shows the science is not settled.Dr. Whitehouse, the cold, hard fact is that science has exactly zero to do with the Church of Gorebull Warming. It is 100% liberal politics. The "Live Earth" travesties were irrefutable proof of that.
You're not dealing with scientists, Dr. W, but with leftist ideologues on a quest to gain absolute power over the world's economies. They don't need to be refuted. They need to be rounded up and air-dropped into the middle of the Sahara, where they can whine about REAL heat.

Satellite data tells us that since the peak in 1998.It has been a tiny warming trend.
Since 2003 it has been NO warming at all.
Yet we see ever more hysterical crying about some stupid "tipping point" is near and that we need to destroy our economies to avoid it.
