At a reception that was decidedly upscale and beyond the reach of the average Democratic voter, Al Gore's daughter got married at a lavish Beverly Hills ceremony. On the menu at the "rehearsal dinner" was the endangered chilean sea bass (link to article about wedding and about fish's endangered status) (http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,22090734-5001031,00.html), for 75 people.
If anyone thinks that Al Gore would provide leadership that any sane person could respect, think again.

The youngest of Al Gore's three daughters, Sarah Gore, 28, married businessman Bill Lee in Beverly Hills on Saturday, family spokesperson Kalee Kreider confirms to PEOPLE.

The bride, who is taking her husband's last name, wore a gown by Monique Lhuillier at the wedding, which took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Willie Nelson performed at the reception, according to a family friend who was there and described it as "a great party."

"As one person joked during the wedding toasts, global warming helped bring Sarah and Bill together," the family friend tells PEOPLE.
The Gore family hosted a rehearsal dinner for 75 family and friends the previous evening at Beverly Hills' Crustacean restaurant, a longtime favorite of the Gores.

Executive chef Helene An created a six-course tasting menu that included Chilean sea bass and roasted crab.

Wow. Chilean sea bass is one of most favorite kinds of fish. I had no idea it was endangered. What, these fish can't be raised on a fish farm?

As for Gore, well, I'm not surprized. Eliteist libs are the most arrogant of all people. Eliteist libs have no shame. When I spout off on topics I make pretty darn sure no one come back and point out obnoxious, glaring hypocrisy. Does Gore think we're all doped up illiterates?

There is some innacuracy to the article. The fish is not on the endangered species list--that's a bit of hyperbole. There IS a problem with illegal catching in conservation areas--however, the fish served to Gore's wedding party was not provided by an illegal supplier.

But the fish enjoyed by the Gores were not endangered or illegally caught.
Rather, the restaurant later confirmed, they had come from one of the world's few well-managed, sustainable populations of toothfish, and caught and documented in compliance with Marine Stewardship Council regulations.

Does Gore think we're all doped up illiterates? It's worse than that: Gore really does think he's smarter than we.
