A stunning new image of the Sun has been released by NASA which shows it as an almost perfect sphere, glowing a fiery red and orange in the pitch-black of space.
It is almost spotless, a sign that the Sun may have reached solar minimum. Scientists are now watching for the first spot of the new solar cycle to appear.

The sun isn't really scrofulous and maggotty, it just looks that way in this Soho pic
The 11 year long solar cycle is marked by two extremes, solar minimum and solar maximum. Solar minimum is the period of least solar activity in the solar cycle of the Sun.
During this time the sun becomes much calmer, with sunspot and solar flare activity dying down.

So here is what will happen.
Global average temperature will drop 0.21 deg.
Some places will have cold spells, hot spells, rainy spells, dry spells, floods, droughts, or other interesting weather.
It will all be attributed to global warming, with panicked calls to restrict energy use.

I think he meant "Highly" doubt... etc...
In any case, sounds to me like one of the global warming gullible freaks showed up...
You know what's really funny about them? I actually hear one of them on the radio commenting about the dangers of the fictitious "HOLE" in the Ozone layer. And then in the next sentence, he bitched about everyone that uses aerosol products that release (his words) "Ozone Causing Gasses" into the air.
Now... color me nutty... but if you're going to panic about a HOLE in the precious ozone... wouldn't you WANT "ozone gasses" to be put into the air to patch that sucker up?
Apparently, the "global warming assholes" feel that the ozone layer is something we need to protect, and we're in danger from a "hole" in it, but when we try to pump out some more ozone for them, they freak out.
So, to all you global warming assholes... please make up your mind..
Ozone... is it BAD or GOOD? For heaven's sake, please pick one and stick with it you idiots!
