I like seeing Blue Moon so high, I hope they perform it as a bluegrass song. They didn't short-shrift Hank either. I am surprised Ring of Fire was ahead of Folsom Prison Blues. And where is Rocky Top?

I didn't know country music had 100 great songs, much less a 100 greatest. LOL!!!

Just kidding, people.

Nice, but No Charley Pride (okay, one http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon44.gif)

And a Faith Hill Song made the list?? The Britney Spears of Country??

I saw this show on CMT and disagree with alot of the picks. I've been listening to country music for about 40 years now, and alot of those songs are not what I consider real country music.

Faith Hill isn't really country music either although she did start out that way. BTW, most all female country musician's videos today show them scantilly clad just as pop music does.

I didn't see "For the Good Times" (Ray Price) or "See the Big Man Cry" (don't know who did it) or "Gentle on My Mind" (Glen Campbell) or "Ten" (Bobby Bear).

But I's pleased to see "Seven-Year Ache." That's often not regarded as country.

We need to make our own list of Country's 100 greatest.

Not to nitpick, but another notable exemption was "Seven Spanish Angels" by Willie Nelson and Ray Charles, that should have made the top 10 if not the top 5.
