In a surprise announcement Thursday night, organizers of the Yearlykos netroots convention say Hillary Clinton has canceled her scheduled meeting with attendees on Saturday. Clinton is still scheduled to appear with other presidential candidates at the convention's leadership forum, but she will be the only candidate skipping the meetings with activists afterward. In a last minute change, organizers said the Clinton Campaign would send Ann Lewis to speak with attendees on Clinton's behalf.

The announcement, made just after Howard Dean's keynote address, drew boos and immediate complaints from attendees, who were asked to select which candidate they wanted to meet with during registration this morning. It also comes at an odd time for Clinton's netroots outreach strategy, since her campaign recently went to bat for the convention by sending top spokesman Howard Wolfson to defend the convention against attacks from FOX's Bill O'Reilly.

She ain't the only one anymore.

We are officially listing Senator Harry Reid, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Congressman Rahm Emanuel as cancelled and are still hopfeul that Senator Chuck Schumer will be able to join us. Reid and Pelosi will have to remain in Washington because the Senate and the House are voting through the weekend.http://www.yearlykosconvention.org/

KOS is grossly overrated in relevance. A man-in-the-street poll asking, "Have you heard of DailyKOS?" would most likely get at least 99% "no". If it disappeared, no one would miss it.

To this day I have no idea what KOS means, although I assume that it's something similar to "Kookery on Steroids".

I get a kick out of O'Reilly trying to tell prominent DIMs that, due to their radical hate internet site, attending the Kos net roots conference is innappropriate, and one DIM after another, to O'Reilly's apparent surprise, defend the moonbats at Kos. O'Reilly is just dense. Doesn't he know that (DIMs) THEY are THEM (radical left)?

I think KOS is the last three letters of the guy's (foreign, prolly Greek) name, like Mikos or something along those lines.

:moo: I think the founder wrote the name on the back of an envelope, & his computer expert misread his bad handwriting. It was really supposed to be the Daily Hos.
