Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
Warner Bros.

Release Date: July 3, 2003

Genre: Sci-Fi/Action/Sequel

Starring: Arnold Schwarzenegger (T-800), Kristanna Loken (Terminatrix), Nick Stahl (John Connor), Claire Danes (Kate)

Crew: Jonathan Mostow (Director, Co-Writer); Andy Vajna, Mario Kassar (Producers); Tedi Serafian (Screenwriter)

Summary:

A decade has passed since John Connor (NICK STAHL) helped prevent Judgment Day and save mankind from mass destruction. Now 22, Connor lives “off the grid” – no home, no credit cards, no cell phone and no job. No record of his existence. No way he can be traced by Skynet – the highly developed network of machines that once tried to kill him and wage war on humanity. Until…

…out of the shadows of the future steps the T-X (KRISTANNA LOKEN), Skynet’s most sophisticated cyborg killing machine yet. Sent back through time to complete the job left unfinished by her predecessor, the T-1000, this machine is as relentless as her human guise is beautiful.

Now Connor’s only hope for survival is the Terminator (ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER), his mysterious former assassin. Together, they must triumph over the technologically superior T-X and forestall the looming threat of Judgment Day…or face the apocalypse and the fall of civilization as we know it.

I'm going to see it...and provide my usual review. The previews look pretty good.

If this Terminatrix is as sophisticated as they say, she's all-but-human. That means she'll fall in love with Termie, even if he is sort of Salvation Army-level by this late date.

We'll get to see if Termies can procreate. For that matter, can they do the Big 'O'? Especially girl Termies?

Since they melted Arnie down in Termie 2, they'll have to reprise his heinie -- pull him outta the molten steel, brush him off, replace his bad left arm and do some cosmetic work.

Since they can't do that, Termie 3 proves that reality operates in multiple dimensions. The original Termies were natural follow-ups from our dimension, but ever since Termie 1 and 2 cut them off at the knees, so to speak -- making impossible the future in which Skynet won -- Skynet can only exist in a dimension where its knees are still functional, so to speak -- where Skynet won. Where Skynet, not John Connor, won the first Termie war.

Which would mean Skynet's only continuing the fight now because it just likes to fight. Meaning the Termies have a sense of fun. Meaning they're closer-than-ever to human with their sense of fun and their ability to orgasm. Meaning the end of this series has to be -- a Termie going back in history and becoming ...

Looks very Blade Runner-ish.

Too-obviously made of polyimimetic alloy -- skin too white and unhealthy-looking. No chest bumps, betraying a machine's fundamental indifference to sex appeal -- not to sex, just sex appeal. Thighs too skinny.

I mean, what the hey, if you're gonna make a female robot, make her look female!

On the other hand, she gots the sultry look down.
