This is just too bazaar to throw straight into the Climate Forum. You have got to read this crap. Now GW will cause earthquakes and volcanic activity! :rotflmbo:

The Earth fights back

Never mind higher temperatures, climate change has a few nastier surprises in store. Bill McGuire says we can also expect more earthquakes, volcanoes, landslides and tsunamis

Unlike most apparently intractable problems, which have a tendency to go away when examined closely and analytically, the climate change predicament just seems to get bigger and scarier the more we learn about it.

Now we discover that not only are the oceans and the atmosphere conspiring against us, bringing baking temperatures, more powerful storms, floods and ever-climbing sea levels, but the crust beneath our feet seems likely to join in too.

I guess we can no longer call those events "Acts of God"... Long have the godless earth-worhshipers tried to kill God off...

Who is this Bill McGuire character anyway, and why should anyone just take his word as the undisputed truth... No scientific explanation is offered at all for this incredible and illogical claim... Bill says it, so its a universal truth... Sounds like Bill is the new god of the Eco-nazis - "Verily Verily, Listen to the Word of Bill"....

Hey, this is precisely the kind of lunatic tripe I would expect from the Guardian...

The scary part is that there will be those who accept this as pure gospel... I would love to see O'Reilly or Hannity get this clown on their show.

He sounds more like a Hyde Park soapbox orator (http://faculty.washington.edu/krumme/fotos/hydepark.html).

The Guardian must be desperate for fillers in its Science section. Maybe I should send them my theories of how the tension in the world is being caused by mind-warping omega rays from orbiting satellites built by the CIA under the guidance of the Ashtar Light Command space fleet.
