View Full Version : Governator: GOP dying at the box office

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Friday warned Republican Party activists who routinely denounce his centrist policies that the party will die unless it moves to the political middle.

"In movie terms, (the GOP) is dying at the box office," Schwarzenegger said during the keynote dinner speech at the Republican Party's twice-yearly convention. "We are not filling the seats."

Citing declining registration in the Republican Party, the governor urged the party to allow the growing number of independents to vote in the upcoming presidential primary. It was a strange recommendation, as the party has already restricted its primary to registered Republicans and the deadline to change it has passed.

"The Democrats have said they welcome independents," Schwarzenegger said. "Why wouldn't we welcome them, too? The goal of any political party is to win elections, to become a majority and to advance its ideals."

Arnold should move to Austria and get elected ... It is his RINO ilk that has turned off GOP voters ...

CA is a one-party state, and the only moving that will save the Pubs still held hostage there is to move to another state.

I think that Arnold better check the migration patterns - I think they'd show that white Pubs are moving out, and brown serfs beholden to the rich liberal elitists are moving in. One day CA will be little more than a plantation of brown and black serfs/plebians with enclaves of rich white liberals in their gated communities or safe in hyper-expensive areas like Marin County, Monterey, Santa Monica, Malibu, San Jose, and so on.

"The Democrats have said they welcome independents," Schwarzenegger said.Ahnuld, buy a clue: does the name "Joe Lieberman" ring a bell? The RATs turned on him like jackals when he voiced support for the liberation of Iraq. They selected Ned Lamont, a one-issue, anti-war lunatic whose entire campaign was hatred of Bush and selling out our troops.

The only pols that the CommuRATs "welcome" are those who agree with the RAT doctrines. Independence is a dirty word to RATs. Obey or go away.

"Why wouldn't we welcome them, too? The goal of any political party is to win elections, to become a majority and to advance its ideals."And what ideals would those be, Ahnuld? If the GOP erects a Big Tent and welcomes all varieties of RINOs, it will sell out its core constituency and be left with pussy-whipped, mealy-mouthed, "Can't we all just get along?" appeasers, and it will have no ideals left. ...... Wait a minute, they've already done that. Aw, SHIT!

Winning an election with unprincipled candidates isn't what America is all about, Guvvy. Winning elections isn't supposed to be your first principle; standing up for real principles is supposed to be your first principle.

Well, Ahnuld is married to a Kennedy dynasty broad, so he's contaminated.

Like the New England states, California is lost to the Democrats. We need to deal with it. Why do you think it's being overrun with Mexicans? Liberal freebies amongst other things.

Forget those states and salvage the rest of America.

Dunno 'bout that, BW...I still believe AMERICANS will stand FOR American ideals - i.e. conservativism - if the hierarchy of the Republican Party will only put up conservatives candidates for whom the rank & file can vote...'94 shoulda showed us that. C'mon. Democrats have been sprinting to the right EVERY election since, in the lame effort to appear more conservative. What do the Republicans do? Sprint LEFT. They need to buy a clue and do it quickly.

The '08 election is the GOP's to lose, because the RATs cannot win it on their own merits. There is not one critter in the RAT zoo who is qualified to serve in the highest office in the world. They're all either traitors, morons or media creations.

If the GOP blows it next year, it will be political suicide, not murder. Thus I hereby offer them ...

Doom's Facts of Political Life for Republicans

• You cannot be nice to RATs;
• You cannot compromise with RATs;
• The RATs will never love you;
• The RATs will never like you;
• The RATs cannot be trusted;
• The RATs define bipartisan as you agreeing with them;
• The MSM hate you and everything you represent;
• The MSM will never give you fair, objective coverage;
• The MSM will lie about you at every opportunity;
• The MSM are the unpaid RAT propaganda ministry;
• The RATs and the MSM are traitors who will sell out America to destroy you;
• Your only option with RATs and the MSM is to deal with them as with rabid animals;
• America wants conservative leaders, not RAT Lites;
• If you're RINOs, you're worse than RATs;
• If you're moderates, go slit your throats and put yourselves out of our misery;
• If you abandon your supporters, don't expect them to support you;
• If you lie to your constituencies, you'll be looking for a job when your term is up;
• Until Election Day, RATs will be showing their true nature; if you don't exploit it, screw you.

The first Republican who looks a RAT square in the eye and hisses, "You're a liar, a traitor and a flaming asshole!" will get my vote if I have to move to where s/he is running.

:unsmile: Doc, in your advice to Republicans, you should add, "If you're a closet homosexual, start preparing your retirement, preferably before you're outed."

I have to go with both a YES and a NO on your positions here.

Let me make it clear that I am neither a homophobe nor a homophile! I have worked in the V.A. hospital system in addition to many other hospital environments. In my experiences, these professions are excessively represented by those of a homosexual orientation.

Aggressive behavior on the part of homosexuals was bypassed by my generation. A simple NO handled the problem of a different orientation. However, they are excellent care providers.

Serious and unforgiveable problems occurred when their agenda blocked the denial of donations to the blood banks, The AGENDA is what we must deal with! It (IMHO) is not only destructive to a rational society, but is destructive to the homosexual's acceptance into the daily operation of society.

Was Ned Lamont John Mark Karr's twin. The resemblence was stunning.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Friday warned Republican Party activists who routinely denounce his centrist policies that the party will die unless it moves to the political middle.

Clue: the Pub party is dying in CA, anyway, Arnie. Due to a flood of po' folk looking for government handouts and white flight, you are left with rich liberal elitists and poor serfs dependent on state aid (or think they can get it).

Moving to the center won't work. The Pub party cannot become a "We can tax and spend, too!" party. The bigotted hatred ingrained in too many liberals will preclude their ever supporting you, no matter how much you morph into a "me too" liberal.

:unsmile: I wasn't referring to health care professionals. I was talking about elected politicians. They embarrass our party when they're exposed for their activities with teenage boys or restroom perverts.

In my experiences, these professions are excessively represented by those of a homosexual orientation.As has often been posted here, the overwhelming majority of heterosexuals don't care what queers do, as long as they do it in private, keep it to themselves, don't demand that society accept their behavior, and don't expect taxpayers to underwrite the medical care for the consequences of what they freely chose to do.

Their "orientation" is unnatural and counterproductive, but ultimately, all other things being kept to themselves, God will be their judge. When they insist on imposing their sexual "orientation" on society in every possible way, they will encounter resistance. And the present state of "gay" saturation of our culture will inevitably evoke responses that they won't like ... if they survive them.
