View Full Version : Why Rob Zombie Is An Idiot

I haven't seen the new Halloween movie and I probably won't.

Why?

Because the original is a part of the horror canon, probably in the top ten, and from what I've heard, this new version is retarded.

In the original, Michael Myers was a mystery. He was a dark force that had no explanation for his rage. And that was GREAT! That kept you wanting more. It kept you interested.

Now, with Michael Myers' background fleshed out, the mystery is gone. Its a typical liberal yarn. We've heard it all before in defense trials ad nauseum. He had an abusive, violent upbringing. Stripper mom, animal dismemberment, beatings etc. etc.

IOW, a boring CLICHE.

Because we all know that violent people are the product of their environment, don't we? Its step one in the liberal handbook. Cause and effect.

But, the problem is that that just isn't true.

Most of the world's monsters were raised in halcyon homes, everyone sitting around the dinner table talking about what they did at school.

And some of the best people in the world had tragic upbringings.

And why is this important?

Because liberals(I didn't know Zombie was one until now) like easy formulas.

They think human beings are robots; cause and effect.

Load a human up with 2 pounds of X, you get 1.5 pounds of Z.

Its just not true.

And the real problem with liberals is that they don't understand evil; its origins, its motivations nor do they know just how common and everyday it is. And that evil is always A CHOICE. That any human being, any nice fellow on the street, has the potential for murder. Its there.

And that would have made a so much better movie.

Evil is not formulaic.

Evil has no reason as to 'why'. It just is, sometimes explosive, sometimes merely random, sometimes with motive, sometimes without.

Michael Myers should have been kept a dark force without explanation.

Now, he's not scary anymore. He's just a poor dude.

And isn't that the way libs want us to feel about Scott Peterson? They want us to understand him and his evil. How did his parents raise poor Scotty?

And that shit makes for poor movies because its not relevant.

I could have made a great Halloween. And I'm kinda upset that Zombie murdered Myers. He deserved so much more.

Wyatt, it sucked. I've seen it. Nothing, and I say, nothing like the original. You know that creepy feeling you had when you found out that Michael is the definition of human evil? Well, no creepy feeling in this one! You feel sorry for Michael instead of angry.
Stop the horror remakes, unless of course it's really good, like "The Invasion", but other than that, no remakes! They also screwed up "The Fog". Take my advice, do not, I repeat, do not see this!

Your right- libnuts either cannot or will not acknowledge the existence of evil for what it is... just plain evil.

Probably won't see it. Just like when they tried to remake the original Psycho. While the director was pretty close to the original, there's just no recapturing the writing or directing of the original. The time it was made, the film it that was used... not to mention the fact that Anthony Perkins was one creepy SOB. They try and try again, but just can't recapture the original. Especially when they try to smear the typical liberal crap over the top of it.

Man, even I was scared of the original. I was so surprised at that shower scene. Not one stab scene or breast, unlike todays movies.

Hitchcock was a master of his trade. He didn't need any of the gratuitous crap to make the scene work.

I preferred the remake. Some of he timing of lines and other things were somewhat awkward to me in the original.

As for "Halloween," I love the original one, and I do want to see the new one, but I don't know if I am going to catch it while it is in theatres or not.

DO NOT SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You will be disappointed! If you must see it, rent it! But other than that avoid it like the plague!!!!!
I don't want you to waste your breathe and time on it. Just take my word, it's got a Liberal message in it. I'm still trying to recover my IQ points after watching it, and I saw it a week ago!
It sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, if you are not aware, I consider myself more liberal (but not crazy left) than the majority here, so if it is some sort of slight, sort of a stretch liberal message, I am not going to really notice or be offended by it in any way.

Even without the message, it still sucks. It ruined the entire atmosphere that the original had. Plus the fact that one chick can't keep her top on throughout the flick. It's not scary, if you want scary, watch the original. But avoid this like the plague.

Horror films are not what they used to be. Now it's just torture porn, gory slash and cut. They make me sick, not scared.

The scariest film I ever saw was a British B movie. I can't even remember the name, but it was everything a scary movie should be. You never saw a drop of blood. Not one. It was all about shadows, sounds, and the ever-infallible ingredient: the unknown. The film never disclosed who the monster/criminal was. The spectator was always on the brink of discovering it, but never quite made it. It was kept a secret till the end.

Let me tell you, guys. It was a masterpiece. Pity it never got the acknowledgment it deserved.

There are a few good horror films out there that have been made in the last decade. You just have to have a sixth sense about these things when choosing them. I'll admit, I like some gory flicks, but not because of the gore. Because of the suspense and terror, like "A Nightmare on Elm Street".
That movie made me afraid to go to sleep for at least two months. I was seven, but I still like it. The sequels sucked. There is only one Nightmare. :shame:
