AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH HHHHHHH! There I said it! Man it sucks being a Notre Dame fan today! Why couldn't I have grown up somewhere besides NW Indiana?!

After what Oregon did to Michigan, and what Michigan did the next week--and on the same field--to Notre Dame, it's probably a good thing the Irish haven't had to go at it with the Ducks!

I watched that bludgeoning on Saturday, too. It was ugly.

Michigan RB Mike Hart "guaranteed" a Wolverine victory. Not trying to pile on, but to me, that would have been the same as guaranteeing that he could bench press 100lbs.

Michigan wasn't that good. Notre Dame was terrible. Clauson has to get rid of that ball a lot more quickly because he's got no front line. Either that or learn how to scramble.

Charlie Weis should go. The Irish are not fired up.

I agree 100%. I believe that both Willingham and Weis stink as motivators. You would be hard pressed to find more upstanding guys, but upstanding doesn't win college games, motivation does! I would have been extremely excited to see Jon Gruden get the job back in the day, and actually still would. He has the attitude as Pete Carroll. Oh well, here is to an 0-12 season.......

Being a Florida state fan, I was also very dissheartened at Florida's victory. You have no idea what its like down here... Gator fans have got to be the most arrogant, outrageous....

N.Y. Yankee fans are the worst IMO.

I didn't think any fans could be worse than Philly fans...

If the Wolverines win a few more games, and he pops off his mouth before and/or after, will we be able to say that Mike Hart will go on and on?

Actually, I think Notre Dame reached "sucks" about two weeks before the initial post on this thread.

I think they've now surpassed "reeks."

<!-- end storyhdr -->SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Notre Dame's offence got into the end zone-twice, in fact. It wasn't nearly enough to end the misery for the Fighting Irish.

For the first time in 119 seasons of Notre Dame football, the Irish are 0-4.

Michigan State, which blew a big lead to Notre Dame a year ago in a loss that sent its season in a tailspin, got a measure of revenge against the floundering Fighting Irish with a 31-14 victory Saturday.

Same $hit different day!!!

What bothers me most is the complete lack of emotion on both sides of the ball. And the O-Line is just absolutely pathetic!!

WVU won. :)

I remember beating them for the NC about 20 years ago... Back when we were good!

Sitting there watching the entire game the most troublesome thing I observed was Charlie's complete lack of interaction with his team. He always has that distant stare and gazes at his clipboard. Then I turn to watch, Penn St at Michigan and Jo Pa is yelling his ass off at his players and everyone else around him, Nick Saben at Alabama always talking to his players, Pete Carroll the list goes on and on. I have a very sinking feeling that we hired a dud! When you had Tom Brady and Brady Quinn as your two QB's you are gonna win some games regardless of how bad your coaching skills are.

I been saying that since ND beat the Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl back when I was a Kid

:moo: Arkansas State played Tennessee closer than one would expect, & Central Florida blew somebody out. Texas's inability to run up scores on them is not proof that Texas isn't ready for the big time. "Oh, you!" fans have been giving me the business about that, even though their own schedule consists of patsies like West Virginia School for the Blind & St. Rita's Nursing Home.

I'm not feeling too good after this weekend. Tennessee lost 59-20 to the Gators.

Oh Brudder, I feel your pain, hun (and so does my daughter). For some strange reason (must be genes from her daddy's side of the family, :smirky:) my daughter is a Tennessee fan, and she was just devastated after that game. Poor dear -- but she bravely wore her TN shirt to her weightlifting practice on the Monday after the game (who's gonna mess with a girl weightlifter that's a TN fan anyway? LOL).

Being a Florida state fan, I was also very dissheartened at Florida's victory. You have no idea what its like down here... Gator fans have got to be the most arrogant, outrageous....

I am RIGHT there with you (actually probably closer than you, my Bubba has to drive right through gatorville every day going to work). Gator fans ARE the most arrogant, outrageos, etc. that walk the face of the earth! For a short period of time I worked at UF in the Student Health Services, and I was the most hated employee ever ... my office was decorated from head to toe with FSU stuff,.

And yet, every sports channel can't seem to stop talking about them.

Amazing isn't it? One thing, though, if you can believe it, it DID use to be worse (if you can imagine it) ... when Spurrier (cough, choke, gag) was the head coach, I don't think anyone on ESPN1 or 2 could utter one sentence without mentioning Sata...errr, Steve Spurrier and the swamp lizards in the next.

For any and all who can't STAND the reptiles, a good movie to watch is "Big Trouble" with Tim Allen ... they make fun of the Gators something fierce in that movie. We laugh till we cry every time we watch that movie .

My 'Noles finally had a good weekend. (For those that don't follow the schedules, FSU was open this weekend,). No way we're going to be ready to play the lizards come the end of the season. Next week we take on Alabama (after my Bubba's GA Dawgs beat 'em). Coach Mark Richt gnawed on the on the Crimson Tide yesterday, let's hope that's enough tenderizer to allow the Seminoles to spear them.

My husband immediately switches the channel when they start talking about Notre Dame now. They haven't won a game this year and WVU has been in the top ten for weeks now and you rarely hear a word about it unless they play the next game on that channel. They even stopped showing the WVU game for a while on Saturday but went back to it. Granted they were 40+ points ahead at the time but still, some people like seeing them win.

St. Rita's Nursing Home.

Watch it LP... I was a 7 year starter for St Rita's NH (Home of the Rockin Nanny's) and have walker wheel marks to prove it! :shame:

OSU destroyed Northwestern, 58-7 at Ohio Stadium.

I watched the beginning of this massacre. Before the end of the 1st quarter, the score was 28-0. That's when OSU decided to put in their second string players. At halftime, the score was 45-0.

That's when I turned off the TV and took a nap. (I have the flu.)

Today I read that:

Northwestern's only score came at the opening of the third quarter, the result of a 99 yd. kickoff return.

Halfway through the third quarter, the OSU starters got another break and the second string went in again.
