Sheikdom shakedown: Dubai moves on Nasdaq (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/staticarticles/article57749.html)

In a complex set of transactions, Dubai is moving to acquire 19.9 percent of the Nasdaq in New York, placing the Arab government in an ownership position of the key U.S. stock exchange and raising concerns in Congress.

As a result of the transaction, Dubai also will acquire 28 percent of the London Stock Exchange, one of the oldest and largest in the world.
The transaction is being made through Borse Dubai (http://www.wnd.com/redir/r.asp?http://www.borsedubai.ae/), a holding company 100-percent owned by the government of the Emirate of Dubai and controlled by Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum (http://www.wnd.com/redir/r.asp?http://www.sheikhmohammed.co.ae/), the head of the Dubai ruling family.

Hi there,

I haven't read the whole article and perhaps I shouldn't post until I read it but it seems that the Dubains put money before their religion.

However, I don't like that America is being sold off bit by bit.

As they say in the Middle East, death by a thousand cuts.

:flame: I see that the selling out of America continues! I guess we will never learn.

Should We Be Worried? No. Not really. There are no national security implications noted. And besides, you can rest assured this deal will be incredibly scrutinized to insure that doesn't change. On the other side of the coin, this could be a huge boon for the markets.

Maybe they won't blow it up now. Seriously they have been great allies with America. I hope more people learn from them and buy more of what we are. We are the best investment the world has ever known. It will continue to be that way and the smart money is on us.

Until such time as the ragheads want the USA crippled to the point it cannot function.

YES, we should be worried. We should NOT allow ANY foreign company to control ANY American company/stock exchange/whatever. It is not healthy for a country to be OWNED by foreigners. In fact, it is folly.

They won't control any of that.
