Police Find Car of Missing Saleswoman

By KAREN HAWKINS
Associated Press Writer

CHICAGO (AP) -- Police stepped up their search for a missing drug sales representative after finding the 28-year-old woman's car near an abandoned building in Hammond, Ind.

Nailah Franklin was last heard from Tuesday, when she sent an uncharacteristically vague text message to friends and family saying that she was having dinner and that she'd call later.

She never did.

Days earlier, Franklin had filed a police report saying she had been getting threatening phone calls....http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/M/MISSING_WOMAN?SITE=FLTAM&SECTION=US

Too bad she lived in Chicago. Then maybe she could have done something besides just filing a police report, like getting a gun.

It's her.

CHICAGO — The family of a missing Chicago woman said a body found early Thursday is that of their loved one.

Nailah Franklin, 28, a pharmaceutical sales representative for Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly, was last heard from a week ago.

Jon Merrill, Franklin's uncle, told FOX WFLD that authorities confirmed it was his niece's body. Chicago police would not immediately confirm the indentification of the body. Other family members would not confirm that uncle's statement.
