Well here we are, week four already..
A few teams already have their byes (and doesn't that bite, having an early one..). Rest well Jacksonville, Washington, Tennessee, and "No Wi.." er, New Orleans! :smirky:
Hey what is UP with those new Redskin uniforms? :ooo:
Have the PC folks gotten to them already? Sheesh, a flaming "R" as your team logo? Come ON! I mean the old logo was still on the field (injun head) so why not the helmet, fellers? I guess the color scheme didn't help either, they looked like giant bees... and anyways why were they wearing their 'whites' at a home game last week?
E's Prediction: Within five years, the team changes its name and mascot to, "The Washington Wombats".
Of course then, the PETA folks would cry foul so who knows?
Week four, and the distant playoff field is growing more clear. Granted, nothing is a given THIS early in the season but it 'seems' clear that Dallas, Indy, and New England are gonna be worth watching. Add to that Pittsburgh (my second favorite team :thumb:) Houston is still showing their stuff even though Indy topped them last week, and Green Bay is acting pretty cocky up here in NFC North ~ with good reason.
Brett Favre just keeps breaking records.. this week it was tying Marino's career TD record of 420. As much as I love to hate this guy, I'll be the last to deny his props. Of course I AM gonna gloat when he also tops the career interception and all time losingest QB records, muahahahaha...! That's what you get when you forget to retire, you salty old bast.. er, curmudgeon.
Hey Donovan McNabb? Read the want ads lately? Seems a certain midwestern city is looking for a (good) QB to save their faltering football team. Desperately. You might have heard of the place uh, home boy. And hey brother, it Could mean the chance to redeem yourself with another super bowl, done right this time. Best of all? We promise NOT to boo when you suit up and hit the field on day one. :smirky: Keep your options open for 2008, pal!
Okay enough of my blathering, blithering, whatever that word is.. let's do some predictions!
