It is a slow moving story about how America ruins our young men and women. I would bet its backed by Soros or someone who is tryring to gain his favor. A real cheap shot directed at our Armed Forces and the purpose we are there for. Pass it along. I hope they lose a pile of money on this attempt to slam our soldiers and hurt the President. What a pile of horse manure this movie is.

Tommy Lee Jones goes searching for his missing son. The Army spends the entire movie covering up that he is dead then who did it. This young gal, who screwed her way to detective on the local small town sheriffs department, it is said, keeps getting prodded by Tommy Lee into doing more research into what happened to his son, Mike. Tommy Lee knows its a Mexiacan Drug bust, cause nobody in the Army back in his day would be involved with cutting up into little pieces a fellow soldier, as his son was cut up and burned to a smoldering piece of hair-teeth-n-eyes. Several shots of it, and it is so bad, Thelma flies out to the little base town, to see it. Its like Barstow, California but called somewhere else.
We keep seeing pictures of vacant streets and old strippers working at jive joints where Tommy goes looking to find his son, and then after finding him, he goes after the killers when he knows Mike is dead, who before going to Iraq was the most ethical person on the planet. But he doesn't do anything when looking for Mike. He just goes to a bar, has a beer, shows a photograph to the bartender, who has never seen him, and he goes back to the motel and downloads a new video of Mike involved in some fuzzy deal. Same thing the next night and the next. Nothing but bad scenery. Slowly we find how the Army is covering up for the his buddies because letting the real story out is too disgusting. Tommy steals his sons cell-phone from his drawer and slowly, 2 two hours of slow, he finds a guy who is a computer tech-wiz, who painstakingly downloads and send to Tommy, video clips of the horrible things his son does in Iraq. Tommy keeps disbeleaving his son capable of those kind of things and until his three best buddies who just came back from Iraq with him 6 days before, confess to cutting him up into 50 pieces, and burning him into a stump. And, even they don't know why. Its just dazed looks remembering the life-changing experiences they were subjected to in Iraq. Tommys son was the same way the guy who killed him was. Sticking his fingers into those he tortured for fun. The Army cuts a plea bargan and the buddies get off with a light sentence. The movie is so bad we don't ever know what kind of light sentence they get. The guy who cut him looks like "leave it to Beaver's" older brother, incapable of doing anything bad, so when he tells tommy what he did, Tommy Lee, who now looks dazed, goes home to "Thelma" (Susan Sarandon) who he lives with and does road work for the county, not knowing what happened to his country,...and then we have the credits.
The photography reminded me of the Last Picture Show. Dark and lonely. I'm sure it will be a big hit in Hollywierd for all those who need some validation for all the protests they attend and sign autographs at.

I don't know if I would get a chance to see this any time soon, but I am not going to say anything about until I see it.
Mainly, my interest in this movie is simply due to the fact that it is written and directed by Paul Haggis, the writer of "Million Dollar Baby," and the writer and director of "Crash."
