Welcome back folks, it's time for another round of NFL picks!
The trash talk is really heating up in my neck of the woods.. Time to renew the oldest rivalry in the league, Chicago vs Green Bay. And being a Bears fan stuck in the middle of cheese country, I can tell you it gets colorful at times..
By the way, and this counts for bonus points, see if any of you can tell me what's wrong with this picture..

On a related note, now that Fav-ruh has successfully beaten Dan Marino's all time TD pass record (422, sheesh) the stress should be off and he can get to work on setting a Real record: sacks per game.
I know a certain #54 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Urlacher) that's looking forward to helping him achieve that mark..
This will be the Bears/Packers 174th game. The Bears lead the rivalry: 88-79-6. The game will be at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
The Packers are Still smarting after their shutout loss to Chicago 26-0 in Lambeau Last year. They want revenge, and they also want to keep their momentum.. 4-0 places them currently at the top of the NFC, tied only with Dallas. A win here would strongly hint that they're heading for a post-season. Favre is looking good, hitting everything he aims at (and he's got Plenty of targets).
On the other hand, 'Da Bears' are in serious straits. With a good number of their key players out with injuries after last week's disastrous defeat in Detroit, not to mention QB concerns, having their original starter Rex Grossman sidelined in favor of the backup Brian Griese.. Chicago is going to have to work some Serious voodoo to beat the Packers at home. But I will go on the record here to say, that if ANY team in the league knows what Brett Favre's (and the Packers') weaknesses is, it's the Bears. :smirky: And it's these division games that are always the least predictable.
Even so, if the Bears do pull this off, it should be the biggest upset of the week.
Okay, enough of the Bears/Pukers, er, Packers game..
This week has a number of other good games to watch.. Wish I didn't work Sunday nights and Really wish I had NFL Ticket. <sigh>
Even if I did though, I would probably have a tough time picking..
Seattle at Pittsburgh? Gangs of New York? (hated the movie, but the game might be a hot one) Lions in DC? ack!
Well, if you don't have the Ticket, you're pretty much stuck with what your local affiliates are gonna give you anyways.
Well enough yakking, you didn't come here for that, did ya?
On with the predictions then. :thumb:
