Lol,lol,lol,lol Why is it to every campaign, to every candidate, to every opportunity these yahoos start invoking the name of JFK. First it was Billy- Bob Bubba Clintoon, then it was John Swifftie the Flip Flopper Kerry who shared his intials, and now Barack Obama Bin Laden. JFK must have been a raging schizophrenic to have this many personalities. Besides, by today's standards he is a freaking Repub. Doesn't sound like much in common with any of the above mentioned.

One commentary I heard did make sense to me... When the person was asked why Guevara had achieved mythic status, the answer was that it was because he died young... It seems when a character like Guevara, Kennedy, James Dean, fill in your favorite, dies young, the public only has the young image in their mids... As such they never see him grow old, become a desk jockey, retire, develop alzheimers, etc, etc, etc...

The natural reaction of the shallow masses is to build the person in question into a mythical giant - They only remember the victories (and even those are often built bigger than they actually were), and they imagine the lofty miracles that this saint might have achieved, if only.......

That is what JFK is... He is their messiah - the mythic god they can rally around and attempt to assume his holy mantle... As a god, his name alone injects divine power into a flagging campaign...

I adored JFK. To me at the time he had rock star status. That was way back in the days of a circumspect press and media.

Judging JFK by today's standards.

He was a womanizer who didn't care a thing about his wife. Jackie was used to finding other womens' underware in her own bed! Every aide, driver and guard was used to getting women in and out of the White House, as well as contacting women who might have caught the Kennedy eye.

JFK really did steal the election and Nixon knew it but preferred not to drag the nation through a long and bitter fight over it.

Nothing could surpass JFK's dithering during the Cuban Missile crisis when the didn't know what to do at all. He relied on better men than himself and came out looking like a strong leader. In reality he was doing everything except hiding under the bed.

Saying Osama Obama is JFK's natural heir is rather stupid. Ultimately what it means is Osama Obama is the heir to JFK's relationship with a compliant media. Obama is no one's heir, he is totally controlled by George Soros, that's where his money is coming from.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Obama is as big a womanizer, as indecisive and as much of a thief as JFK ever was.
