Hey, Football Aficionados! It's that time again...
Week 8, and we're almost halfway through the regular season. Indianapolis and New England are Still rocking and rolling, undefeated.
Sickening, isn't it?
And it doesn't look like that's going to change this week either since the Pat's are hosting Washington and Indy's off to Carolina..
Wait, Carolina? Hmm..
The Panthers aren't doing too shabby this year, with a 4-2 record. They'll be rested and ready, coming back from a bye last week. On the other side of the field, the Colts have had a short week since they just played on Monday. Hmm, indeed.
Any chance the Kitties will shred the Colt's undefeated record? We'll just have to wait 'til Sunday to find out. I'd sure love to watch this game, I bet it'll be a doozy. Don't have the 'Ticket' though, unfortunately.
Several other good matchups this week:
Check out the Giants laying a major smackdown on the Dolphins at Wembley Stadium in Jolly olde England (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/american_football/6248825.stm)! That's right, exhibition game during the regular season! Ha! I wondered at first whether they'd sell any tickets but after researching a little around the 'net, it sounds like they've sold out and Then some. NFL Europe may not have been a success, but there are still a Ton of American style football fans on the other side of the pond.
Steelers vs Cincy.. the Bengals are riding high after last week's win. Pittsburgh needs to start looking towards the playoffs. Both teams will be playing hard.
Philadelphia at Minnesota ~ both of These teams desperate for a win to keep alive any hope of reaching the playoffs at all. Will Adrian Peterson and Minnesota's D hand the Eagles a post-season pink slip? This'll be a football game, folks.
But the big one this week:
Green Bay at Denver, Monday Night Football. Oh yeah, a Real Monday night game for a change! Now we'll finally find out whether the Packers are riding on smoke and mirrors (and a helluvalotta luck) or whether they're for real. Denver, still smarting from a tough early season, won't be handing out any easy wins at Invesco Field, Mile High. Bring some oxygen, Pukers! :rotflmbo:
On to this week's picks..

I have inside information... Joe Gibbs' mother's best friend knows someone who overheard this guy who said his dad was at a McDonalds and heard the kid behind the counter say that they were gonna give Tom Brady an undercooked burger on gameday... :smirky:

I don't think that will work. You'd have to cut both of Brady's arms off and throw them in a meat grinder, not just his throwing arm. Bellychick would figure out a way for Brady to throw with his non-throwing arm.
