If the Broncos has managed to pick up the first down on the next-to-last play in regulation, they could have spiked the ball to stop the clock, tried one shot at a winning touchdown, then--if necessary--kicked a field goal to force overtime. (Probably a lot easier said than done, though.) If I were a coach in a situation like that, I would do everything possible to keep the ball out of Favre's hands.

I was impressed on how fast the Broncos Field Goal team set up and kicked the ball ...14 seconds ... talk about a "Hurry Up" offense !!

Heard the game on the radio , so , I didn't "see" it ...

Yeah, no kidding. Very impressive compared to earlier in the game. They had trouble getting people on and off the field before Favre could call the next play. The Broncos got flagged several times for too many men on the field and one time they had 10 players. Yikes!
