Virginia: 2008 Presidential Election
Virginia: Giuliani 46% Clinton 43%
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Virginia voters finds Rudy Giuliani with a three-percentage point lead over Hillary Clintonhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/2.gif (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_2008__1/2008_presidential_election/virginia_2008_presidential_election#) in the race for the state’s Electoral Votes. John McCain and Fred Thompson each have a single point advantage over Clinton while Mike Huckabee trails the former First Lady by nine.

It's not the 3 point lead by Rudy; but that FDT is also leading in a State where the Gov race has the 'Rat Mark Warner leading the GOP Jim Gilmore by 16 points. Interesting times indeed!!

Senate Race ;)
Mark Warner would be a republican in any other state, he's a very conservative democrat, and also very popular in Virginia due to his governorship. There is also no way Gilmore will get elected here, most of the state hates him, and I will not vote for him.
At any rate, the last poll had Clinton over Rudy here in Virginia. I'm sure it'll go back and forth. Virginia is a battleground state now. Part of the problem is the past couple of years Republicans have botched things up horribly here, Bush isn't exactly popular here like he used to be, plus Virginia has become more liberal over the years due to Northern Virginia's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Virginia) increase in population.

Like some weed or plant disease that is spilling over from your neighbor onto your lawn... Virginina should pass some laws that make it undesirable for Washington DC parasites to reside in Virginia... A Parasite Tax...
As for the subject of this thread, I was reminded by Rush about something today that lifted my spirits - for those who didn't hear Rush today, I'll share it in a compressed version... What he said was that at this very time in the last presidential election, the person who held Hilary's position was Howard Dean... I'll let that sink in for a second............... We see how much an early front lead means in the overall picture... And Hilary has a lot of baggage that has yet to be brought to the national stage, along with a lot of enemies in her own party... THAT nomination is far from over...
Also, he pointed out that after the nominations were set and the general election campaign got underway, Bush and Kerry were head to head for a long time before Kerry's true history came to the light and then Bush started pulling away...
At this point, I still have faith that this election will ultimately produce a Republican president... Especially as more good news comes out of Iraq with this surge... People like to line up with the winning side...

Rush also brought up something that kind of mirrors what I said earlier about Moron.org! When attacked they will act like complete juveniles. Look at how unglued Hitlery and her minions became over Mitt's intern statement. Hitlery could very well be a Howie Dean redux. She will implode/explode under a CONSTANT bombardment from a GOP candidate and the New Media about her scandalous past.

We just need to keep the pressure on Hitlery and let HER explode ....

I didn't catch the Mitt/Intern statement, but I do get your gist and I wholeheartedly agree... If everyone will recall to days back to Bill's fiasco with the fat girl, Bill handled the pressure far better than Hilary did... They kept her under wraps because she was in meltdown mode...
And recently it was revealed by some Clinton Whitehouse insiders that her rage and panic wasn't over her husband's infidelity to their marriage but because she believed he had just blown her chances at her won run for the Whitehouse - something that they apparently were boldly planning way back then...
So this news about a bad reaction to Mitt's reference to the intern speaks volumes about her and how she views the incident... She apparently is terrified that Bill's indescretions are gonna cost her her shot at the big leagues...
That is a woman who is slavering animal when it comes to power - And disregarding her Marxist positions, that alone is something we don't want anywhere near the Whitehouse...
The single most important virtue that Ronald Reagan possesed that made him such a great president was his incredible humility...
Luc, If you have a link to that Mitt Romney comment about the intern and Hilary's reaction, I'd like to read about it...

Here is the Link (http://thepage.time.com/excerpts-from-romneys-hannity-colmes-interview/)
And I think the greatest drawback beyond the direction she’d take us is that she’s never run anything. She’s never had the occasion of being in the private sector, running a business, or, for that matter, running a state or a city. She hasn’t run anything, and the government of the United States is not a place for a president to be an intern. You need to have experience actually leading and running things.

HANNITY: What you think of Hillary Clinton?

Ya know, I haven't really been that hot on Romney, but I like to give credit where credit is due, and he does in fact have a way with words...
Called her an intern...:rotflmbo: As if we didn't all see her as just the first in a long line of Bill's little gals...
And you say Hilary didn't take this well?:roar:

I'll add the quote Mittt used at the debate in FL ...
ROMNEY: Hillary Clinton wants to run the largest enterprise in the world, the government of the United States. It employs millions of people, trillions of dollars in revenue. She hasn't run a corner store. She hasn't run a state. She hasn't run a city. She has never run anything. And the idea that she could learn to be president, you know, as an internship just doesn't make any sense. I have spent my life running things. I've learned how to run a business. I've learned how to run a state. I ran the Olympics. In each case, I brought change. And if there's ever been a time we needed change in Washington to bring strength to America, it's now.

Hillary is delighted with the new female dress code designs that her transition team presented to her.
She is convinced the women interns will love them as well.

Here is a funny comment from Salon ...
45 minutes. Romney rides the Hillary hatred. "She hasn't run a corner store. She hasn't run a state. She hasn't run a city. She has never run anything. And the idea that she could learn to be president, you know, as an internship, just doesn't make any sense," he says.
Wow. This is a low blow. Romney has just evoked the image of an intern in the Oval Office while discussing Hillary Clinton. He might as well just pull out a blue dress and dribble some salad dressing on the stage.

Mitt was not even talking about Klinton morality or personal life ... he was talking about a complete lack of experience doing ANYTHING for herself ...

I am finally starting to see a huge crack (pun intended, albeit disgusting) in the Hitlery armor. She is going to have a freakin' meltdown before this is over. Move over Howie, is there room on the pine for one more?

If the pubs have any balls at all they will work on that chink in her armor... Her public meltdown is precisely the killing blow they need to shut her down... Once she's finished, the election is in the bag...
Yeah I think its time to bring Carl Rove out of retirement...

Well as you say, she has shown us her weakness, and the Pubs need to get serious about playing hardball if they want to remain relevant in politics... This is a golden opportunity - They should be exploiting it...

I have been highly encouraged by Mitt's and Rudy's willingness to mix it up with her and deliver some early body shots. Like Mick said in Rocky, "hit him in the body, don't let the bastard breathe." I think this race will ultimately resemble Rocky II with the good guy coming out on top.

Well we need to get some intelligent and focused handlers in the RNC to start feeding the candidates some lines to prick the bitch over this sensitive spot...
This intern label is a good one to hang on her - It serves two purposes... Reminds the voters of what she really is - a creation of the media with nothing but her association with Bill to recommend her, and it implies that she is just one in a long line of Bill's playthings...
I can see an internet campaign with doctored pics of her in a blue dress with a conspicuous stain on it...
