I found this posted on the Red Sox fan forum. I later called the man who wrote it and said "thank you." His only request was to spread the word to which I'm doing. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

I silently protested U.S. NH congresswoman Shea-Porter’s speech at the Veterans cemetery yesterday. When she spoke I turned my back to her. Here is a lady that boosts about helping Veterans yet she filed a false police report against me in Dover NH. When this failed she had a VA Dr file commitment orders to have me put in the funny farm. As a last resort the Director of medical care for NH Veterans stopped my VA medical for injuries received while I served in the Marine Corps. Hodes, Sununu, Lynch all gave political speeches to boost their image in the public eye. Senator McCain and Second class petty officer Jessica Beall talk of and to the Veterans. My silent protest went unnoticed except for my wife whom put her hand in mine and squeezed as a silent signal of support. My protest was not to disrupt the other Veterans moment, and I did not.
I served in the Marine corps 70-74. I did 31 months over seas. I am no hero. I was a scared 17 year old doing my duty. I delivered surplus supplies to friendly camps across Thailand, Laos and Cambodia eight times as an American Advisor. My first kill came before I remember kissing my first round eyed girl. I have no memory of the U.S. prior to the MC because of a traumatic brain injury. I broke my back during one offensive and lost my hearing during another. I came back and was discharged into a world that I did not belong. McCain and Beall talked about veterans coming home and society not understanding. Veterans experience events you that have never been there can understand. Yesterday John McCain went out of his way to come across the Marine Corps memorial to shake my hand. Governor Lynch recognized me as we passed within inches of each other, he looked me in the eyes and turned away. I served to give him this right.
I silently protested because even though NH through the news tells you that I am violent I am not. The Union Leader prints Shea-Porters commentary but refuses to print an article written by a Veteran. Veterans give their lives for free speech and you that never served spit on us, unless it is to your political benefit to put a public hand out. My silent protest may go un-noticed but I am proud to be a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.
