Excerpt:
Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean came out for inclusive team prayers in public schools while speaking Sunday to a gathering of thousands of Jewish leaders, according to a leading Jewish news agency.
In another statement likely to stir debate among the evangelical Christians his party is urgently trying to court, Dean also asserted “there are no bars to heaven for anybody,” according to the report by JTA, a 90-year-old non-profit organization which calls itself “the global news service of the Jewish people.”
The remarks in Nashville, Tenn., come at a time when Democratic candidates in general – and the DNC in particular – have been increasing outreach to voters for whom faith and values is a decisive issue.

Dean says Jews can go to heavenThat's a relief. I'm sure they were just waiting for Dean's approval.

Rhino, you crack me up! Remember that a majority of them vote Democratic and this was all they were waiting on...

Dean can go to hell.
Besides, doesn't he belong to the "enlightened" crowd that thinks religion is just so much superstition?
Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean ... while speaking Sunday to a gathering of thousands of Jewish leaders ... according to a leading Jewish news agency.

And I cannot understand why any God-fearing Jew would align themselves with a Party who wants to see their homeland destroyed.

The Jews should tell Dean where he can go.

...Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean came out for inclusive team prayers in public schools...Hold de bus! Isn't this contrary to the continuing efforts of the Leftists - ie, his own party? Has he consulted with the ACLU?
Im really suprised that the Dems still allow Howie to speak publicly at all anymore... Slow learners, aren't they?
The Dems (with Howie at the helm) appear to be a house divided... They should have asked Bill Clinton to head up the party - At least that way they'd have one set of marching orders - and one candidate to choose from... In true Bolshevik style...

There are orthodox Jews and there are ethnic Jews. A fairly large percentage of Jews are atheists. They couldn't care less about the fate of Israel.
Hell, a lot of Israelis don't care. If they did, they wouldn't elect Palesterrorist-appeasing idiots like Ehud Olmert, and the WAQF wouldn't be destroying the Temple Mount.

Well considering most practicing Jews dont even believe in hell I doubt Dean's comments were a comfort.

Very true.
Liberal Jews make a big show of their "Jewishness," but in reality, they mustn't give a damn if they constantly vote for the anti-Israel party.
Blabs Streisand comes to mind. So much for her constantly portraying Jewish characters, and Papa, can you hear me, and all that sentimental crap. Fortunately, for her and her ilk, nobody ever asks them the embarassing question: "How come you, a Jew, vote for the party which would enable the obliteration of the Jewish state from the map?"
I'd LOVE to ask them that myself, given half a chance.

Hmmmmmmmmm I wonder about that statement. I am hardly a biblical scholar but I seem to remember something about Jesus Saying "only through can you get to the Father". I am sure that my memory of the passage is imperfect but I also dont remember anything about Howard Dean authorizing trips to Heaven in the Bible. Perhaps someone can correct my faulty memory.

In order to approach the issue of His birth,
it is well that we understand the Holy Trinity
first. That being God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit.
God the Father is God of man as displayed in
the Old Testiments and as the Father of the
Jewish Nation.
God the Son (Jesus) is God as man as depicted
in the New Testiments. God assumed the form
of man to walk with and teach man.
God the Holy Spirit is God with man as promised
by Jesus when He stated that He would send the
Comforter after Him and that He would be with
us alway.
As for Jesus being a Jew, yes, He was born of the
line of Abram as was told by the prophets and this
was because the law had to be fulfilled. However,
it is important to realize that Jesus, when He began
His ministry, did not teach Jewish Law but rather He
taught the path to salvation that we as Christians now
practice. Jesus fulfilled the law with His death and
resurrection and once that had been done, a New
Covenant was made with man by God and this
covenant is the salvation plan as taught by Jesus.
Agree or disagree, and there are millions and millions
who disagree, but this is what the Word of God (the
Holy Bible) teaches and for those who choose to believe
it, they are a part of the "new Isreal" that being those
who have been sanctified through the cruxifiction and
ressurection of Jesus. "Born again" is the term and for
many this is a point of contention but for Christians it
is a necessity as taught by Jesus Himself.
So, to say Jesus is a Jew is to say that He is only human
and not God the Son. Jesus is God the Son resurrected
and having taken His rightful place at the right hand
of God the Father. Jesus is not human, He shed that
human shell He had assumed when He was resurrected
by God the Father and reclaimed His heavenly being.
There are several scriptures that bear this out and you
may remember the one where He tells His followers
"not to touch Him yet because He had not yet assended
to His Father's throne" and had not yet received His heavenly body. Maybe that will help you in understand-
ing the lineage of Jesus..or..maybe not, but I did try.

To say that Jesus is a Jew is to tell the truth about his Ethnic background. It doesn take away from his divine nature at all.
