A Window into the Left's Rage
By Dennis Prager
FrontPageMagazine.com
The current issue of Rolling Stone magazine, its special 40th anniversary issue, reveals almost all one needs to know about the current state of the cultural left. The issue features interviews with people Rolling Stone considers to be America's leading cultural and political figures -- such as Al Gore, Jon Stewart, Bruce Springsteen, Cornel West, Paul Krugman, Kanye West, Bill Maher, and George Clooney, among many others.
It brings me no pleasure to say that, with few exceptions, the interviews reveal a superficiality and contempt for cultural norms (as evidenced by the ubiquity of curse words) that should scare anyone who believes that these people have influence on American life.
First, the constant use of expletives.
As I wrote in my June 5, 2007, column, "'Buck Fush' and the Left," "Higher civilization has always regarded the use of expletives in public (outside of, let us say, theatrical performances) as a form of assault on civilization . . . ."
That is why the amount of public cursing on the left and the way curse words are accepted as part of public and formal discourse may be as significant to understanding the left as anything the left says. It is the left's way of showing rejection of the values of the middle class and of America's Judeo-Christian civilization.
Typical examples:
Chris Rock: " . . . Bush f--ked up." "That's a major f--kup." "I say some harsh s--t."
Novelist William Gibson: "The s--t you've been doing for the past 400 years . . . ."
George Clooney: " . . . my sister and I were quizzed on s--t." "Now you're going to hear about all this s--t." "What the f--k's wrong with you?" China "doesn't give a s--t . . ." "I don't give a s--t." "This war is bulls--t."

The Left's "rage" is all a pose. They think it's sophisticated to be "angry," and one must be sophisticated by all means.
But for the civilization these idiot jerks condemn, they would all die within a year because they can't take care of themselves. They leech off civilization.
Their adolescence is proven by their filthy language. The Left is stuck at that stage of emotional development, clueless to what that sort of language betrays. That's the way I and my buddies talked at 14, thinking it proved our manliness. Most of us outgrew it before we were 15.

Good stuff.
Somebody needs to tell Prager that Cheney didn't curse Leahy on the senate floor, though. It happened in relative privacy in an antechamber/coat room of the entry area to the senate. That does make a difference in terms of the subject matter Prager is discussing.
It's always helpful if conservative pundits, and Prager's a good one, knew these details so they can put leftists in their place with the facts.

Amen. :roar:
They'd be the first to suffer and die under the anarchy they yearn for.

Lefties are in a perpetual "postponed adolescence" mode. Like teenagers, they are constantly angry, constantly "conflicted" about one thing or the other.
Personally, I like Rush's description of lefties as constantly unhappy. They find doom and gloom everywhere. According to these losers, every day is a day of mourning over something.
4th of July? Oh, no! So jingoistic. What will France say?
Halloween? Oh, no! Children encouraged to beg for (unhealthy) food?!
Thanksgiving? Oh, no! The poor indians. They came bearing gifts and had their land taken from them. Oh, boo-hoo-hoo!
Christmas? Oh, no! It marginalizes/offends others. Besides, it's unconsitutional.
New Year? One less year of life. And so many resolutions to keep!
And the poor are still poor! And big bad corporations are still rich! And America is still so imperialistic! (these last three apply year round).
Rush is right. That's liberals for you. Perpetually wringing their hands over something or another. Not that I object to their mysery, mind. With any luck, they will become (successfully) suicidal. But they insist on making MY life as miserable as their own. And, yes, I DO object to that.

I myself recently picked up that aforementioned Rolling Stone anniversary issue recently. They had an article detailing the history of the magazine. After mentioning all this communist nonsense they state and I now paraphrase: Rolling Stone did not always take the leftist liberal side of the issue. For example, we criticized the Charles Manson Family even though many liberals supported them"
That statement shows how out of touch with reality those imbeciles are.
Later it also said: We stopped doing political issues right around 1980.
Thats right bitches Ronald Reagan not only defeated the Reds but also the Pinks. Another point for the greatest president in history.

Oh, please. I nearly choked on this one. Why, THANK YOU, Rolling Stones magazine! You criticized Charlie Manson. You, among millions, but hey, who's counting. The important thing is that you criticized him. That's it.
Oh, I bet you also criticized Ted Bundy, didn't you. Yep. Presidential material, right there.
PUH-LEE-ZE! Liberals are definitely a mental case.

And Maggie, the newest assault on Christmas is an attempt to do away with Santa's Ho, Ho, Ho. [The three words sounding too much like a slur on women who earn their money on their backs.] Have you heard this? I barely listened to the news report because it was so preposterous. You know it has to be a scrappleface report.

Yes, terri, I did. There's a thread in the News forum, I think.
I was amused, but not surprised. Liberals are pulling all stops. They are determined to end Christmas one way or the other. And since they judge everyone by themselves, they think that comparing Ho Ho Ho to racial slurs will make people immediately to Eww! Down with Santa!
Personally, I wish I was in Australia right now, and these freaks came up to me about the Ho Ho Ho issue.
Boy, would I have fun.

Does anyone else find it incredibly ironic that during the 1990's (Clinton era), the biggest 'threat' to America was the so called "Angry White Male Talk Show Listener"..
And yet today (Bush era), the greatest 'hope' for America is the "Angry Liberal Activist"?

Speaking for myself, I find it typical. Double standards, anyone?
