I went to see that latest movie "Hulk' the other day, and when i got in the theater there was a Lotta parents with pre-teen children in that theater, I couldnt believe it, the movie had partial nudity, violence, and such, I did not think it was a movie for children, especially the fight with the mutated dogs, having to see a mutated rabid poodle is something i would not want my child to watch.

At one point after that fight the guy almost looked dead and I over heard a child ask "daddy, is he dead?'

My jaw just about dropped to the floor.

Dunno bout you but some parents need to be taken to task for exposing such young children and infants to a movie like that.

I was the same way over the movie 'Roger Rabbit' I just HATED that movie and still do.

Your thoughts?

Waiting for dvd, two Hulk fans I trust, (brother and best friend) HATED it.
Their complaints were as follows:

1.Origin wrong
2.No Rick Jones
3. Typical anti military theme
4.Confusing split screen scenes
5. Movie jumped around.
6. Bad acting
7. Bland characters
8.Hulk dogs were pathetic
9. Incorrect origin of villain(Absorbing man)
10. Talbot's character is incorrect.

To put in words Ang Lee can understand "HULK SUCKS" instead of Hulk smash. More hollywood drivel from people who chose not to READ the book.

I understand, Hollyweird can NEVER get a comic book right, I'm amazed they did half as good with the x-men as they did.

But this violent, partial-nudity adult-styled movie is just not for 5 year olds on up to pre-teens to watch.

I was just aghast at the thought of a theater full of children and infants watchin a show like this, and to have a mutated poodle? scuse me? Too stupid if ya ask me.

It isnt worth the money to spend on, wait for the dvd, if anything.

Rink, it is so obvious these idiots can't read, NEVER does Bruce Banner consider transforming into the Hulk "setting him free."

Banner hates Hulk and Hulk hates Banner.
Banner spend his life trying to find a cure.

As they say, you wouldn't like me when I'm Ang Lee.

Most certainly, it was not a kid's movie. There were several small children in the theater when I went to see it. They made a lot of racket and made it difficult to focus on the film.

I thought the acting was okay, but that Sam Elliot's character was too mean and Nick Nolte's was too out there. I didn't find the film to be anti-military--and this is coming from a veteran. The split screen sequences was a typical Ang Lee bit. As far as historical accuracy goes, I wasn't a fan of the comic book, so I didn't take note.

Overall, it was a borderline film. It had its moments (very few), but it certainly wasn't a great flick.

After the absolute farce that was done with Conan, I truly don't expect much from film adaptations of my fave comics.
I don't 'spect I'll be plunking down any green for the green.

Bleeeehhhhhh.....

What do you mean farce, the sequel? or the movie "Conan?"

Well I DID note the difference on banners attitude about being the hulk, and in some way it took away from the movie some by their portraing him as liking it.

It seems Hollyweird cant get anything straight, why cant the book writers kick hollywood over it for?

On a side note one of my serious pet peeves at movies not only are noisy children but the theater selling popcorn in those damned noisy bags, I mean when I go to a movie I have to put in my hearing aids in order to hear the movies dialogue, well guess what some jerk gets behind me and has a bag of popcorn, and all throughout the movie all I hear is rattle rattle rustle rustle rattle crinkle rattle rustle, and i cant hear a thing of the movie dialogue.

There have been times I have had to turn around and Ask the people to stop rattling their bags because I cant hear nothin.

Why cant the movie houses sell their popcorn in somethin better than a noisy damned bag for?

Come this July 2nd when Terminator 3 comes out I will be stuck with only one hearing aid because the other one died on me and is being fixed for me, so its only going to be worse for me in tryin to hear the movie dialogue.

(someday i think I'm gonna go postal on those damned sack rattlers).
