I'm trying to figure out why a flash game I want to embed won't embed. I'm seeing if it will work again. This is a test thread.

Does the site allow it?

I think so. They provided the embedding code.

It works.
<table style="margin:0 0 10px 0; width:244px; background:#fff; border:1px solid #ccc;" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr><td style="font-family:verdana; font-size:11px; color:#000; padding:5px 10px;"><a href="http://funflashgames.com/game/Zombie-Squirrel-Attack.html" style="display:block; text-decoration:none;"><img src="http://funflashgames.com/games/thumbs/5436_70.jpg" width="70" height="59" align="left" style="margin-right:5px; border:0;" alt="Games at FunFlashGames.com - Zombie Squirrel Attack" />
<strong style="color:#000; border:none; text-decoration:underline;">Zombie Squirrel Attack</strong><p style="margin:0; clear:none; text-decoration:none; color:#000;">Shoot down zombie squirrels using your pistol akimbo pistols and avoid shotgun blasts.</p></a></td></tr>
<tr><td style="font-family:verdana; font-size:11px; padding:5px 10px; border-top:1px solid #ccc;"><a href="http://funflashgames.com/game/Zombie-Squirrel-Attack.html" title="Games at Miniclip.com">Play this free game now!!</a></td></tr>

However, the embedding code must be copied completely. What you see on screen under "Copy the code below ..." is not all of it. Highlight what's visible and then hit Ctrl-A, or move the mouse downward while holding the left mouse button. That will copy all of it. Then copy & paste it here. It will look like the attached graphic (although not necessarily exactly the same) when pasted.

It works.

Alright, I'll try that. Thanks. :thumb:

I think its my computer. I compared the embedding codes, they're exactly alike.

The problem is most likely the same problem with embedding videos.

Go into your account options in your user control panel, and change your text editor. You probably have the enhanced one, switch to the standard editor, then copy and past the embed code into it and post the message. Bet it will work for ya then.

I have AOL and I can't find the User Control Panel.

You have Atrocious OnLine? You have my sympathy.

IAC, the User CP is a board function. Go to the top of any page and find the gray links bar. Fourth from the left is "User CP".

User CP > Edit Options > Miscellaneous Options > Message Editor Interface

If it says "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing", that may very well be causing the problem. In the drop-doiwn menu, select "Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls". Then click "Save Changes".

Your text entry screen will operate differently, but it won't corrupt what you enter.
