Agents of Sen. Hillary Clinton are spreading the word in Democratic circles that she has scandalous information about her principal opponent for the party's presidential nomination, Sen. Barack Obama, but has decided not to use it. The nature of the alleged scandal was not disclosed...

Clinton sends her minions out to get a rumor going and then folks are left to let their imaginations run wild while she gets to pretend she's pure as snow. By telling folks she is not using the "Scandalous Information", she is in fact using it. Typical sleazy Clinton.

The scandalous item is something like when he was in 2d grade, Obama kissed a white girl on the cheek. To Hillary Clinton, racist to the core, that's scandalous.

Great move, politically at least. This reminded me of the tactic that Errol Flynn's lawyer used in his cross examination of Betty Hansen. She was supposedly dressed like a little school girl, innocent and all that. Geisler, Flynn's attorney, had a pic of her not looking so innnocent. Asked her if the picture was her, she said yes, he looked at it and did not show it to the jury. He let their imaginations run wild, some have concluded this is the key moment that was responsible for Flynn being acquited. Very similar tactic here. Of course since Hitlery is a lawyer I do not doubt her understanding of this sort of strategy.

Yep. Obama's reply needs to be, "I'd say I'm withholding scandalous information on Ms Clinton, but her scandals are already widely known and insufficently explained so I'll take the high road and not discuss them."

or Obama could retort with, "I can't mention Hillary's scandals because there have been so many of them going back so many years that I've forgotten a lot of them and might get the details mixed up on the rest."
