John Edwards launched his slight public career -- one Senate term, two presidential candidacies -- with the money and reputation he made as a trial lawyer. Today he is the candidate of a small fraction of the electorate but a sizable portion of America's trial lawyers. Edwards says Washington is "corrupt." Well.
Within Edwards's lucrative trial bar constituency, there has been a flurry of criminal indictments. Their target has been what Fortune magazine calls the law firm of Hubris Hypocrisy and Greed. (See Peter Elkind's jaw-dropping report in the issue of Nov. 13, 2006.) The real name of the nation's foremost securities class-action firm is Milberg Weiss.

Whew! And I thought Hillary was corrupt.
Bill's article should've been called The Shyster Has No Clothes. ;)
Demunists are revolting by default. But I swear, nobody turns my stomach the way Edwards does ... not counting Blow Job Bill, that is. His overacted Southern accent sounds like nails on a blackboard to me (and you all know how I love a Southern accent ... the genuine one, I mean). He is one of the most revolting SOBs out there.

All these scum are just criminals. A major political party has fallen into the hands of sleazy criminals.

Edwards doesn't hold up liquor stores or mug geriatrics at the ATM machine, but he is no less a gangster. Like water flowing to the place of least resistance, whether thug or white collar grafter, each finds their own mud puddle and sinks into the soil.
If Edwards had a tan and was born into the projects instead of $500 haircuts and blackmail, he would have been cracking off biscuits of 'base and feeding them into the tiny end of a car antennae as a junkie worked off her debt by pretending to have Parkinson's on his gender wand.
Trial lawyering, while not in itself done by a mexican with acne scars wielding a machete during a home invasion, has no less force. At the end of the day you're still robbed, its just that the process involves a little more etiquette.
Instead of getting raped by one, you're raped by 12. Instead of getting your front door kicked in, your entire house is repo'd. Instead of your wallet getting stolen, your entire 401k is attached via a lein against your future. All by that nice smiling man/boy running for president.

John Edwards should be part of Hillary's campaign. Then all the worst crooks in modern American politics would be on the same ticket.

Does anyone know where Edwards is polling at the moment in Iowa, New Hampshre, or "nation wide"?
Every time I hear a number, I keep trying to find the correlation, the ratio, between the population and the polling number: I try to break it down, considering the population, the percentage of Democrats to Republicans, the number of Democrats vieing for the nomination, and how that vote is split between the candidates.
I'm over-thinking the problem.
What I'm trying to come up with is just how it is going to affect the municipal water supply, nation wide, when the number of Edwards supporters realize just what a slime-ball they've supported and they all jump into their showers at once, trying to cleanse the stench.
The South East part of the country is in bad shape when it comes to water, as it is.
Remember that thing years ago about how NBC tried to gauge the number of people who watched Johnny Carson by the "Flush Test"?
