WASHINGTON,(UPI)

U.S. President George W. Bush Saturday accused Congress of wasting taxpayer money and "failing to meet its responsibilities" to U.S. troops.

-snip-

Bush called on Congress to pass an Iraq War funding bill that does not mandate timelines for pulling U.S. troops out of Iraq -- a provision included in a funding bill passed by the House Wednesday.

"Congress is ... failing to meet its responsibilities to our troops," he said. "For months, Congress has delayed action on supplemental war funding because some in Congress want to make a political statement about the war."

I guess congress is falling back to their position of stopping the war by denying the funds needed to complete the mission.

I was wondering how long it would take the pandering, limp wristed, panty wastes in Congress to finally take this course of action. It was inevitable and now they are striking. On the other hand at least President Bush is going on the offensive with them.

Very good. He has a deep faith in what he is doing. He deserves our heartfelt thanks. I admire his ability to stay focused when in the middle of being attacked from all sides. My God who would want that kind of job. For those fair-whether friends who jump on him now, in my opinion they meet the legal term below, Can our elected representatives be held to the same standard we hole our soldiers who fight for them?
Legal definition

As a legal definition, according to Subchapter X, Section 899, Article 99 http://cache.lexico.com/r/g/link-extern.gif (http://www.reference.com/go/http://www.military-network.com/main_ucmj/SUBCHAPTERX.html#892.92) of the United States (http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/United_States)Uniform Code of Military Justice (http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/Uniform_Code_of_Military_Justice) (UCMJ), cowardice is defined as:

<LI minmax_bound="true">Running away from an enemy (http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/Enemy); <LI minmax_bound="true">Abandoning, surrendering or otherwise fleeing any post that the soldier is tasked with defending; <LI minmax_bound="true">Endangering the safety of any post that the soldier is responsible for through disobedience, neglect or willful misconduct while in combat; <LI minmax_bound="true">Discarding arms or ammunition (http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/Ammunition) while in combat; <LI minmax_bound="true">Abandoning combat to plunder or loot or commit other crimes; <LI minmax_bound="true">Willfully failing to do all within the soldier's power to fight or defend when it is his duty to do so, while in combat; <LI minmax_bound="true">Refusing to give any needed aid or relief to fellow troops while in combat; or
Performing other unspecified acts of "cowardly conduct" while in combat.

Demunists hate the troops. Never mind their constant bleating about how they truly support them (by making them cut and run). That's all for electoral campaign purposes. The truth is that demunists HATE the troops. Period.

I would like to see one liberal explain how cutting all of the troops off at the knees means they support the troops.
Defunding and underfunding them can do just that.
The new, safer, vehicles that throw ied's explosion to the side, will be very limited and so will ammunition if the democrats get their way. Their funding was broken down and it meant a lot of the equipment and munitions were missing. WAY TO GO LIBERALS--GET 'EM ALL KILLED!!
