Authorities are trying to determine if the 2-year-old dubbed "Baby Grace" after her body was found in Galveston Bay was repeatedly abused by her mother and stepfather, an investigator said Tuesday.

A woman believed to be the mother of the girl told police she and the girl's stepfather beat and tortured the child to death, court documents show. The girl, believed to be Riley Ann Sawyers, was found by a fisherman in a plastic box Oct. 29, but her identity was unknown for weeks.

The mother told authorities how the girl died "of her own volition,"...

...The girl was beaten with leather belts, had her head held underwater in a bathtub and then was thrown across a room, her head slamming into a tile floor, the mother said in the document. HOUSTON — The toddler believed to be the girl whose body was found in Galveston Bay was beaten to death by her stepfather who lost control because she failed to say "please" and "yes sir," an attorney for the girl's mother said Wednesday.

Attorney Tommy Stickler Jr. also confirmed Wednesday that the girl's mother, Kimberly Dawn Trenor, is pregnant. Her pregnancy was first reported by the Houston Chronicle.

God only knows how I'd like to be face-to-face with those two son of a bitches right now!!! Naw, shootin' or hangin' is too good for these two. A loooooong drawn out physical beating followed by an excruciating and prolonged tourture resulting in agonizing pain and death is what is called for here! I'd have those bastards begging me to put them out of their misery, but I'd drag it out until I tired of the game, constantly letting them see the smile on my face as I did "what had to be done"!
