Video of military exoskeleton (http://www.engadget.com/2007/11/25/sarcos-military-exoskeleton-becomes-a-frightening-reality/) prototype being tested.

We just might see a real-life...

Isn't Chuck Noris a super soldier?

Just wondering...

As long as I don't have to iron it, fine with me.

The best protection of all is, don't be detected. If the other guy don't know you're there until he dies, he won't shoot at you and you won't need armor.

Armor has definite and severe limitations, mainly that it impairs motion, hearing, vision and speed of movement. It has its value when you don't expect to move much, as in guarding an installation; and when you anticipate mainly small arms fire. But as in other contexts, the main protection you need is for your head.

It's a nice little helper, but I would not rely on it in combat too much. Is the EMP shield good to go?

Pretty impressive. I like how they talk about a "full suit," kinda like the Dude in Halo. I would suggest if they do that they install some sort of cooling system as the occupant may get kind of hot.

You got to love the comments on LiveLeak, the central hive for all ADHD teenage video gamers and Obama supporters.

Can you imagine entire
platoons where every troop had a saw mounted on
his exoskelaton? Wow! And that's just the
beginning. They could go thrigh walls-be
impervious to shrapnel... ect. Exosuits going through walls? Can you say, "I'M THE JUGGERNAUT, BITCH!"

Ooo you could have a mini gun/anti tank ect on one
arm now with all the ammo on your back.. Damn you
could do so much with it! and still have 1 armJust think of the possibilities with the other arm!

SAW? You could mount a .50 Cal on each arm or
shoulder of that beast and the wearer wouldn't
feel the difference. Something tells me you would feel the difference, but that's just me.

Imagine hand to hand combat in that thing. You
could literally punch through someone's head or
rip an arm off. Holy shit, I want one! No snarky comment needed.

I lift 250 poungs easy, that suit got nothing on
me. I bet that suti an't Fire proof or Water proof. A Water gun could probley fry the suit If a research team has spent 6 years so far, I'm willing to probley bet that they have solutions in mind. As for the fire... you're in some tough shit if you, as a human, are on fire, let alone the suit.
