It's getting good reviews. I'm not kidding.
Anyone here seen it yet?

I just finished seeing it. Overall: 3 stars out of 5
This was pretty much a remake of Terminator 2. Kristinna Loken (sp?) fills the role that Robert Patrick filled in the second movie. T-X (Loken) is an improvement over T1000 (Patrick), but not by very much. In fact, I was impressed more by T1000's morphing abilities than with T-X's. T-X does have a couple of surprises, but they aren't startling by any means.
The plot is pretty much a rehash from T2 and takes only a couple of baby steps towards a final resolution. In fact, it's obvious that this movie is a setup for yet another sequel.
Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the movie. There is a lengthy highway fight scene on parallel with the one from the abysmal Matrix: Reloaded sequel. However, the T3 scene does have a more realistic feel to it. I would also say that Arnold's introduction scene in this movie is pretty funny. If you saw the other two movies, you know what I'm talking about. Both of them had humorous elements as well with regard to Arnold's introduction (hint: "Bad to the Bone" is replaced by "Macho Man"). And there is other humor as well--some hit, some miss, and a lot of rehashed dialogue.
The bad is the repetitiveness of the same plotline. I would have gladly sat for another 30 minutes if it had meant seeing an actual resolution to the series. The ending is very anti-climactic (nearly the same as the first Terminator movie). Definitely not a rousing finale. The special effects are superb and the actions scenes are very well staged. The acting is average.
Go see it for yourself. It is worth the price of a ticket, but only just.
Wont get to see it till i get my hearing aids back http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif
Untill then I KNOW I wont be able to understand one whit of the dialogue int he movie, so I guess I gotta wait.
I thought it was pretty good.
