I have been gone for a while due to moving, running our business in a new state (had to get out of Mexifornia) and etc. This site has really changed and I haven't been able to figure out how to post a graphic. Any help?
Also, why can't one copy and paste their text from here to another locale?
Thanks for your help!

The best way to post graphics is to use a graphics-hosting site like Photobucket (http://photobucket.com/) (the one I use) or Image Shack (http://www.imageshack.com/). You can upload to them from your computer, and then post the URL to them. Photobucket (not sure about Image Shack) provides links designed for BB use. For example, this is one of my critters. The PB-generated link looks like this (space added to allow viewing it):
[ IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v349/DocDoom777/Critters/Gus-4.jpg[/IMG]
Removing the space:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v349/DocDoom777/Critters/Gus-4.jpg
You can also post an image as an attachment. On the full post entry page (not the Quick Reply), scroll down to Additional Options > Attach files and follow the prompts.
Another way is to use the [img] codes to surround an image address from the Internet. This is not good Web etiquette, since it puts a load on the source site without the site itself being visited. It's considered bandwidth theft.

Also, why can't one copy and paste their text from here to another locale? You can certainly do that with your own posts, you being the author. The abuse of that practice is typified by the BB unfondly known as FISTED. The premise of that open cesspool is to copy and paste posts from other boards, after which the anencephalic assholes who wallow in its mire mock and attack the posts and their writers.

Doc, in additional options, mine says "manage attachments," not "attach files."
Maybe that's why I can't post images.
I've always wondred about that.

I've always wondred about that.Note the red-circled area. The "Manage Attachments" button is within the "Attach Files" area.
IAC, there is no good reason why it shouldn't work for you. Do you get any messages when you try?

Attach Files is gray and is not a link (?). Nothing happens when I click manage files.
There is an icon at top that reads insert image when I put the cursor over it. But nothing happens when I click it, either.
No messages either.

Attach Files is gray and is not a link (?). Nothing happens when I click manage files. It's the name of that portion of the page. It isn't a link. The only active link is the button.
Question: if you run the mouse pointer over the icons above the text box on the Advanced page, does anything happen? On my machine, they are highlighted as I move the pointer.
Also, can you click on the smilies to the right and have them appear in your post?
If the answers to the above two questions is no, it's possible that Javascript is disabled in your browser. Which browser do you use?

She may have active scripting turned off.

Might be. I use Opera exclusively, so I'm unfamiliar with IE options. With Opera, disabling Javascript impacts many FC functions, including attachments.

Active scripting is on. I checked.
I use Internet Explorer.
Yes, when I run the mouse over the icons they highlight.
Java is enabled --I use it for games on other sites.

And absolutely nothing happens when you click the Manage Attachments button? Sounds like you may have a popup blocker running that is preventing the window from coming up.

Sounds like you are EXACTLY CORRECT.
When I held the Control key down and clicked manage attachments, something happened.
I'm at work now, so it could just be this computer, so I'll give it a go when I get home.
Thanks.

My husband and I have a RV business selling odor control for the black/grey water tanks and water purification for the drinking water. Our products are also used in boats, private aircraft and storing drinking water in 30/50 gallon drums for any type of disasters that might occur.

I haven't tried the Photobucket yet, as I do have graphics there.
I am still wondering as I am typing this right now, I am not able to "copy" this text into Word or Email. When I highlight this text, all that is listed is "paste" not "copy". I am on Internet Explorer/Earthlink if that helps.

That's a context menu. Weird. Is this the only place you have that trouble?

I don't know what "context menu" means. I have only posted on 1 other forum and that was a while ago. So, I don't know if this site is the only place I have trouble with "copy" of my text when trying to take it into an email or Word. My computer is giving me different problems, so please let me take it into the shop before you try to figure out my "copy" problem.
I appreicate your help, and will let you know what happens when I get the computer fixed with the other problems. I won't take the computer into the shop till probably the 2nd week of January 2008.

A context menu is the list of options you get when you right click. Have you tried highlighting the text and then using Ctrl-C for copy (hold down Ctrl and press C)? That does the same thing. Ctrl-C is copy. Ctrl-V is paste.
