Kathleen Parker
In the politics of race, black and white isn't so black-and-white anymore.
Rather than a matter of skin tone and pigmentation, race has become a question of blackness and whiteness — a calculation of attitude, experience and cultural identity.
Our first hint that the race card had found a new game was when Nobel Prize-winning writer Toni Morrison called Bill Clinton "our first black president."
"Clinton displays almost every trope of blackness: single-parent household, born poor, working-class, saxophone-playing, McDonald's-and-junk-food-loving boy from Arkansas."
At the risk of contradicting Morrison, but for the sax, those are white-trash tropes. Toss in a banjo and you've got Deliverance.

My favorite part of that article.
"The black woman, whose success is largely owing to her popularity among white women, stumped for the black man in hopes of drawing black women away from the white woman. "

As I've said before, "nigger is a state of mind, not a color of skin".
Prez...that quote is hilarious.

As Parker says later on, this race stuff gets complicated.

Youdathunk that in this day and age we would have moved beyond all this nonsense. As a WASP, I would never vote for someone just because he/she's a WASP.

Take off his shoes and throw in a straw hat, a fishing pole, and Jesse Jackson, and you've got Huck Finn.

Race: there is one race - the human race.
People of color: we are all people of color.
White and black: albinos are white; no one is truly black. However, it's in the interest of liberals to rely on opposites to create non-existent contrasts.
Racism: an evil philosophy embraced by liberals to, so they tell us, combat the effects of racism.
Affirmative action: racism against "whites"; the only politically correct form of racism.
NAACP: how much advancement has the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People achieved for "colored people"?
Uncle Toms / Aunt Jemimas / Oreos: "black" people who have become successful, prosperous and renowned without the "help" of AA, the NAACP and the two faux "reverends".
Segregation: evil when done by "whites", but good when done by minorities.
Equality: a state that will never be achieved as long as political power can be achieved by racism.
