I spoze everybody's saying his boy won the GOP debate, but to my eyes Fred T. looked and sounded the most serious and the most in command.

I agree. He was on his game and actually was the Thompson that I remember.

I thought he dropped the ball slightly only once.....towards the end.
He was asked about profits from the oil companies.

What I would have like his reponse to have been was to compare the profits of the oil companies to the profits of the government through fuel taxes.

Oil Company Profits = $650 billion +
Government Profits from Taxes = 1.8 Trillion +

So who is really gouging the American people?

Thompson seemed to kind of stumble for an answer on that one.

He didn't stumble he said we need to find a way to use other resources. Then it comes down to supply and demand. He's right. We need to refine our own oil, use clean coal and nuclear so the demand goes down.

He IS right....It just seemed at that moment he was searching for an answer and I wish he would have repeated to the liberal (not Gibson) who asked him the question what Rush said the other day. The guy was assuming that gouging was going on.
