The CEO of Overstock.com is irked about Paul’s exclusion from the Fox News GOP presidential forum. Here’s an e-mail he’s sending to his customers:
Dear Customer,
Because Overstock advertises on Fox channels, Overstock has been receiving calls and email messages about Fox News decision to exclude Dr. Ron Paul from the upcoming January 6 forum in New Hampshire, a decision that seems especially rank given the fact that in yesterdays Iowa Caucus Dr. Paul out-polled Mayor Giuliani by a factor of 2.5:1. I always enjoy hearing from our customers, particularly those who display political commitment of any flavor, and I thank them for their calls and emails.
In October Dr. Paul came to Utah, and he and I visited for an hour in my office. After that meeting, I gave him the largest donation I could under federal law: it is rare to meet a politician who understands the Constitution, and rarer still to meet one who thinks it binds the government meaningfully (I would give Dr. Paul more were there not now a federal blackout on free speech known as “McCain-Feingold”). In a television interview last week I stated that, while for the first time in my life I felt there are several candidates qualified to be president, my #1 choice would be Dr. Paul.
:claps:
That said, I believe that pulling Overstocks advertising from Fox would represent an inappropriate conflation of my personal politics with my corporate responsibilities: thus, fellow supporters of Dr. Paul, my answer to you is, “no.” However, I have contacted Fox and told them that, as a major advertiser, I believe it is unconscionable of them to exclude Dr. Paul from participating in this forum on January 6, thus denying our polity the opportunity to make an informed choice.
Respectfully,
Patrick M. Byrne, Ph.D.
CEO, Overstock.com

Who??? Never heard of him. I guarantee Overstock needs advertising more than Fox needs to sell it to them.

I am not finding this anywhere but on Ron Paul forums and blogs that have got the info from the forums. You need to find a source for this.

Seems that Patrick M. Byrne, the CEO of Overstock.com is feeling the pinch from people outraged over Fox News excluding Ron Paul from the presidential debates. His message to the public appears below.
Ron Paul, Fox News, & Me
Dear Customer,

PS If you wish to join me in asking Fox to refrain from trying to warp the public discourse, email Fox Senior Political Producer Marty Ryan
PPS If you wish to learn more about (or support!) Dr. Paul, click here (http://www.ronpaul2008.com/)
PPPS There is no particular reason you should be interested, but in case you are, in the last several weeks I gave PBS and NPR interviews where I discussed these political views.

Can you find it on a news page? Bloggers that support him will take things from his website. Overstock has nothing about it on their site. You would think if they went to the trouble to send out emails they would at least make some mention of it on site.

Right...right....Its bullsh*t because some of the articles link to a RP fan site. You sound like a liberal talking about Drudge or Fox NEws. If it comes from them, its gotta be fake and made up.

You know the rules you must a have a source and you didn't give one in your first post and we need that to judge the value of the source. Probably because you didn't want us to know it was from Ron Paul's site. Did you bother reading your first link? Looks like Ron Paul is doing well on the liberal news sites.

suzie, many of the links didn't link back the Paul fan site.
The article I think started here anyway. http://www.freedomsphoenix.com/Feature-Article.htm?InfoNo=028588
Next time, I'll be sure to post no less than ten links to any article to get the approval of her highness.

It's up to you to provide your source. Not tell us to find them, because apparently you don't like what we find.

Who cares what the CEO of Overstock.com thinks about RuPaul? If the CEO of Amazon or GE or Exxon-Mobil or Sears supported Fred or Rudy or Mitt, would you start a thread about it?
You are so blindly devoted to that loser that you are trying ANY tactic to keep his name in front of us, despite our making crystal clear that aside from the few of you, no one here wants him in the Oval Office.
WE know that he will not be the POTUS. YOU know that he will not be the POTUS. HE knows that he will not be the POTUS. And that being the case, your cheerleading wore thin weeks ago.

Looks like Ron Paul is doing well on the liberal news sites.
Yep. the liberal media has been very favorable to Ron Paul since he shares their views about surrendering to the terrorists.

Well then you are wrong. A search engine is not a "source" it's a tool for finding sources. If you want to post something use it to find a link you can add to your post. When you post something and say where YOU found it and provide a link where they can find it too, THAT is a source, not telling the reader it's up to them to find one.

Just so. Google, Yahoo et al are card files (remember them?) in the library. The books that they catalog provide the information.

Nice work Suzie! These guys are all over the net broadcasting misinformation and linking to BS sites as their source. If you follow the trail it usually leads back to a RP blog or his very own site as the start of the misinformation. These guys have ZERO integrity as they have proved on more than one occasion.

Being a bit of a cynic by nature, I went to Snopes.com to check the story. No reference on Snopes, then I "Googled" the phrase Overstock.com + Ron Paul. All that came up was BLOGS. Do I need to point out that every single blog I went to (not all of them I admit) were supporting Ron Paul.
I guess if you can lie about being a Republican and vote to cut off funds to our Soldiers WHILE THEY ARE BEING SHOT AT, you have no problem making up little lies like this one. Can I prove it is a lie ---- NO, Can I find a single Legitmate Source for this story ---- NO. Seems kind of obvious to me.

Who??? Never heard of him. I guarantee Overstock needs advertising more than Fox needs to sell it to them.
Overstock is from the last trickle of runoff from the runny pile of shit leftover from the dot com implosion that somehow managed to barely stay afloat till today.
Every Christmas and Superbowl they advertise with this whore here, who's only claim to fame is 'Its All About The O'...

In other words, leftover shock marketing from 1998: If you can't sell your product, throw in a little porn.
Dumb monkey marketing for dumb monkeys.

We had the same thing happen down here in the RGV, so I know what Bird is talking about! Juan Pablo Montoya, owner and CEO of Juan Pablo's Fix a Flat and Taqueria has himself boycotted the local FOX affiliate for excluding Ron Paul in the debate. Juan was quoted as saying; we need someone who talks tough on immigration and gives the appearance of being tough but really doesn't follow through. I'm only paraphrasing cause Pablo speak a broken engrish.
