There is tension. I cant quite put my finger on it but it seems like there is more present than normal at a debate.
Or maybe I am sick of everyone saying the same damn thing.

Fred stated it very clearly yesterday.
Does it send them home? (regarding each and every one of his opponents' immigration policies which Don't.)
If not, it's amnesty.
Simple as that.

If I hear Huck whine that sending illegal invaders home 'punishes the children for the sins of their parents' one more time..
If we applied his logic to every criminal, our prisons and jails would be empty; all in the name of compassion.
It's become blatantly obvious to the most casual observer that all of these clowns (with one exception) do Not see illegal aliens as criminals, but rather as refugees. Until they sort out their cranial-rectal inversion, they're going to continue spewing this rhetorical constipation about 'fairness' and make absolutely zero progress towards Ever resolving the problem.

Huckabee is trying to have it both ways on Immigration. Don't punish the Kids (Instate Tution) but kick out every illegal. I will not deny that Huckabee is not my "Fav" but he is coming across like an idiot in tonights debate.

Elgalad, I SO agree with you.
I hereby officially nominate the Huckster as the Republican Jimmy Carter: all kissy-feely mush, no substance.
He wants to close Gitmo. 'Nuff said. He bleats and simpers about illegals. Again, 'nuff said.
And in the meanwhile, Fred Thompson, the only one who says all the things a TRUE CONSERVATIVE should say, is barely being given the time of day. As I post, the only one saying the right things about illegal immigrantion is Fred Thompson. Fred is the man, and he's getting lost in the namby-pamby, kissy-feely, mushy rethoric of all the other pandering morons. And please, DO NOT tell me that "he's not trying." Anyone who really cared about the future of the country would do some research after hearing Fred on basic things ... oh, sorry; I forgot. 90% of Americans are too lazy to do that. They want things given to them on a silver platter. They want instant gratification. They want to be made to feel "special." They are not too different from liberals. No wonder Pharisees like Obama, Edwards, McCain, and Huckabee get all the attention.
I see mealy-mouthed, why-can't-we-get-along imbecility that so far, I thought we could only get from demunists. I see the country slipping through our fingers ONCE AGAIN, and there's nothing I can do about it.
And people wonder why I'm losing interest in the whole bloody farce.
Oh, thank you, Elgalad! I was hoping I was not the only one who saw that. Great minds, and all that.
Pandering, pandering, pandering. That's all it amounts to. Got to get a hand on those juicy Hispanic votes.
How revolting. :sulk:

But I say that where illegal immigration and national security are concerned, the Huckster is no different from demunists.
And I stand by my words!!!! :flame:

McCain said we should vote for him b/c America's best days are still ahead and he can bring them on. Sorry, johnny-boy, but that ain't gonna happen. The USA is still the best in the world, but our best days are past, unless Almighty God still has a little mercy left for us!

AAAARRRRGHHHHH!!!!! Stop, please! I can't take it anymore! :banghead:
For crying out loud, what do people want?! A performing seal? A clown? A ring master? We're electing PRESIDENT OF THE USA, guys. Not president of Barnaum & Bailey. :flame:
Are you all really going to sit there and tell me that you prefer the histrionics of a Rupaul, or a Huckabee, over the substance of Thompson? Well, if histrionics is all it takes, why don't you all go out and vote for Obama, then. I mean, nobody is putting a finer act than he is.
What about principles? What about what a candidate stands for? Doesn't that count at all? What's the matter? Are people too stupid to do their own research? They have to have it handed to them in a silver platter, is that it?
Let me tell you this for nothing. If people (and I don't care if they're 'pubs or demunists) are going to vote based on how a candidate looks, or on his/her histrionics, or how "special" a candidate makes them feel, if they are willing to jeopardize the future of the country, and that of their children, by confusing the presidency of the USA with a Miss Congeniality contest, then maybe the end of this great country is indeed near and we might as well bloody resign ourselves to become like Europe. Nothing is eternal, right? Europe was the first to go, now it's our turn. Maybe those who think this country should be brought down a peg or two are on to something, after all.
By all means, bring on socialized healthcare. Open the borders wide so that all those nice unskilled workers who hate America, but love the Dollar, can come in and "enrich" our multiculture. Bring on Nanny Government, who needs freedoms, anyway? Just as long as we are free to smoke pot, to abort a baby every nine months, just as long as Adam can marry Steve, who cares about the rest? Who cares if Islamofascists finally conquer the world. Western culture has to go, right? It's the other guys' turn now.
And anyway, when all of the above happens, and we see how much it sucks, we can always blame it on that lazy candidate, who did not make us feel special enough to convince us to vote for him.
Fred just doesn't light any fire in folks and that's what put Reagan in the WH.
WRONG! What put Reagan in the WH was the fact that people were UP TILL HERE with Jimmy Carter and his inefficient, ineffectual, mushy, kissy-feely, economy-devastating administration. Jimmy Carter's only success was to make the oval office the laughing stock of the world. Not even Clinton's turning it into his private brothel was so devastating. After all, sex is always titillating. Incompetence is humiliating.
THAT's why people turned and voted for Reagan in droves. I'm not saying that Ronnie was not charismatic. But I'm ready to bet that people would have voted for him anway. The second time they voted for him, it was a definite triumph for Ronnie. The first time had a great deal to do with voting against the peanut-planter-turned-Keystone-Cop, who folded like a cheap suitcase to Khomeini.
Aw, what's the use. And what a fool I am to worry. I wasn't even born here. :sulk:
