Ain't It Cool News

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I ran a story a few days back about Kirk and the Kobayashi Maru test that features in JJ Abrams' STAR TREK. It was about how Kirk cheated his way out of a no-win situation (in this case he used his sexual man-charms on a lovely cadet and got her to alter the programming).

It was a rumor from an untested source, but a regular source quickly followed up the story with a confirmation. Not only that, but I also got a quicky review of the complete script, which I've cut and pasted below. It's decidedly mixed. Below that I'll return with another bit from yet another proven source regarding a piece of footage shot recently...

Meteor trails in space?
The laws of physics don't always apply in the Star Trek and Star Wars universes.

What!?!

It can't be true.

What about matter transporters?
The spaceships that make "whoosh" sounds as they go by, in the vacuum of space?
Looking forward, as you go...many times the speed of light?
Stars that leave trails as they go by?

I can't believe it.

That's not the official poster. I belong to a sci-fi site (yes...Im a sci-fi nerd) and several members submitted possible creations done by themselves as potential ST posters for ST XI. I liked this one.

Other submissions included..........

Nor do they apply to helicopters which according to the laws of physics isn't supposed to fly but anyway...

I'm looking forward to this next Trek movie. How much of a Trek geek am I? My wallpaper is Trek, I own a Klingon dictionary, speak the language some and I hate Tribbles!
