The movie is action packed, set in pre-WW2 Europe and really not such a bad movie. Stars Sean Connery and a cast of unknowns.

Dialogue is strained at times and in parts predictable, but the acion/chase/fight scenes make up for it. The rendition of Capt. Nemo's Nautilus is quite imaginative and the special effects were excellent. IMHO, LXG is worth seeing. It does portray extreme violence, but not graphically (again, IMO...people do die, but the movie isn't bloody & gory).

All in all, 3- 3½ out of 5 stars.

Hey hey hey....If you say it's good TW, I'll go plunk my two bits down and giver a look/see.

Speaking personally, I live for the action scenes. My favorite of all time is in Terminator 2 when Ahh-nold jumps on the hood of the cruiser and unloads on the T-1000 with the machine gun. I was standing up in the theater and screaming "YEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHHH" as the bad guys body was being riddled with slugs.

(pant, pant, ....*whew*..) man, got my blood pumping again just thinking about it. What an amazing adreniline boosting picture!!! http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/deadsheep.gif

Methinks you'll LOVE LXG...especially when Capt Nemo demonstrates his sword prowess.

I have heard some so-so commentary about this movie.

Go rent "Equilibrium" instead.

It was entertaining, but it lacked any story whatsoever.

I agree w/Trau. This movie had an overused plot. But it was fun allthe way to the end.

The hyde monster proved my point over the Hulk. Man - in - Suite is better than CGI. I didn't like the Uber Hyde monster in the end.
Too CGI-ed. Otherwise http://freeconservatives.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon16.gif
