Without the Air Force our job would've been alot harder. I did 15 months at Camp Fallujah. Whenever we went out on patrol we'd say "We need a Hog!" (That's an A-10 Thunderbolt, aka, a "Warthog" to the civies. Awesome kick ass piece of machinery.) :thumb:

Amen. They don't get much hardier for close tactical air support...nor meaner.

The last thing a bad guy wants to hear is that beast coming at their position. Even Apache's and Cobras with their "evil eye" don't have the staying/punishment power of my buddies' toys down at DMAFB in Tucson.

It's a butt-ugly aircraft that's built around a cannon, with lots of optional accessories. The trouble is that its ammo includes those EEEEE-vill DU rounds, which as everyone knows will destroy all life with their lethal radiation that kills everything within 10,000 parsecs.

Well with out all of the branches of the military it would've been hard. My dad's friend use to fly A-10's he retired from the DOD last july.
