I had forgotten about this for a couple years, till last night. Something made me think of it.
Back in the summer of 1981, or possibly 1980, I was at Word of Life Island, a Christian summer camp for teenagers and young adults. It's remote and very rustic. One day I was at chapel in the big meeting hall, when I suddenly felt a few stray drops of water land on my head. It kept happening. So I finally decided to slide over on the bench, which put me next to a girl (who I later became friends with).
Anyway, it shouldn't have been possible for water to drip on me, since the building has no plumbing, no running water at all. The ceiling was the underside of the roof, in that case. You might think maybe there was a leak in the roof, except that it hadn't rained in a few weeks. Everything was as dry as a bone.
I could tell that the water was coming straight down on me, just one or two drops at a time. It was very odd, and I've never been able to explain it. I bet Rod Serling was somewhere around the corner.
