Dick Morris

That picture of the seething, red-faced former president of the United States shaking his finger at members of the press who dare to question his wife’s slimy campaign tactics, is all too familiar to those who have worked closely with him in the past.

"It actually works better with THIS finger
-- what? the RING finger? Who do you think
you're talking to, punk? You feel lucky today
or something?"

Like Janus, the two-faced Roman god, there are always been two distinct personalities in Bill Clinton. That charming, smiling gentleman seen in public is too often eclipsed in private by his negative twin evidenced in the eruption of a furious, unexpected, and uncontrollable rage, often accompanied by loud cursing and occasionally, even physical violence. It’s not a pretty picture.

I’ve been at the other end of that anger too many times and I was always amazed at the suddenness and intensity of his fury.

Early one Sunday morning, he woke me up at my Connecticut home screaming into the phone, “have you seen the Washington Post?” Blearily, I said no that I wasn’t in Washington (it was in the pre-Internet days). Apparently, the paper’s lead article had our poll and focus group questions about his character and image.

“Who did you tell?” “Who did you tell?” he shrieked. I assured him that I never spoke to the press.

“Well, who DID you speak to?” he screeched.

“I only spoke to George [Stephanopoulos] and Rahm [Emmanuel],” (his two closest aides).

That set him off even more. He yelled even louder: “You ONLY told George and Rahm! You ONLY told George and Rahm! Why didn’t you just send out a f-ing press release. Don’t you understand that you can’t tell those two anything that you don’t want to see on the front page of the Washington Post? They leak everything!

Besides his sissy-fit, I'm getting a little tired of the sycophants in the press describing Hillary and Slicky as two very powerful "leaders", when all they are are rich assholes who can pay any dumbnuts to kiss their butts.

Anyone here think we'll have seen the last of the Clintons if they lose the Democratic nomination?

Everyone thought Ojay was a happy, go-lucky dude too ... before the head-sawing gaffe. He was always so funny on the Naked Gun movies.

What's amazing isn't Clinton's sybilline psychosis. It was already very well documented.

The amazing thing is the press and how they covered it all up, yes, in the 'pre-interenet' age. But, even then, journalists already knew. It was better to get a D in office, than suffer more red meat repubs.

Now the press wants Obama. So they're feeding this aging troll into the past as fast as they can. But its not as easy as shredding documents. The press always thought they could continue treating the electroate with contempt. But Bill knows the press isn't his friend anymore. So, he's being contemptuous right back. That is to say, himself.

One wonders what else the press is witholding from the public on Obama. He seems as much an egotistical ass as the Clintons, but hides it much, much better.

Scientists are at work in labs across this fruity plain calibrating the boiling point of Bill. Some want to measure it in terms of temperature, somewhere between 32 degrees and 100 degrees Fahernheit. Others want to measure it in terms of column inches (that is, NEWSPAPER inches), while another group is holding out for a inverse correlation between proximity/time with Hillary. In other words, the closer Bill is distance-wise plus amount of minutes spent with her, the lower the boiling point. So, look for more eruptions as the campaign goes on, assuming he's chained to the dresser of her hotel room.

Before he dies, Willie's going to do something truly in character, such as kill somebody, that he won't be able to lie his way out of. THAT will be his legacy.

I also like the bomb Morris drops on Rahm Emmanuel and George Stephanopoulos.
