I came from a family of veterans. It was almost a guaranteed destiny for me. Joining the Air Force though was breaking the standing pattern of Navy and Army G.I.s. Though Dad is turning over in his grave at my being a "Zoomie," it's been the greatest thrill to serve and be joined by those of other services on the field of battle.
