:moo: It's hard to believe, but ThomasMore's reign as Poster of the Month is drawing to a close and it is time to vote for a new FREE CONSERVATIVES Poster of the Month! The rules are simple. Vote once for the person whom you think has earned the honor of Poster of the Month. Use whatever criteria you want in making your decision. We prefer you vote for someone based on the content, style, and timeliness of posts as opposed to just being a popularity contest, but, what you do is ultimately up to you. You can explain your vote, or not, depending on whatever you want to do. The last six months's winners are not eligible. They are:

The_Elucidator (August 2007)
Rhino (September 2007)
Beowulf (October 2007)
Lazarus (November 2007)
HomeschoolrsRUs (December 2007)
ThomasMore (January 2008)

:moo: The winner gets his/her user name on the front page as Poster of the Month, a pat on the back, a hearty handshake and the warm glow of victory! You also get to put the following incredibly cool banner in your signature line.

:moo: So have at it Freecers! Who will be the next Poster of the Month? Polls close at 7:00 P.M. Central Standard Time on 1/31/2008.

Well, at first I was going to vote for Homes, solely because of her post in this thread (http://www.freeconservatives.com/vb/showthread.php?t=55297)...

Now I don't know who to vote for. It's like the Republican primaries!!! ARGH!!!

Tell ya what, I'm going to vote for the Doc. :D

For me it comes down to Hall of Fame posters this trip. First up was Venus, who explained the complexities of DNA evidence in our complex legal system here (http://www.freeconservatives.com/vb/showthread.php?t=54597). Venus, a lawyer, made this relatively new field clear to my confused mind, and for that alone she deserves recognition.

Then Bluemoon showed up, posting TWO Hall of Fame items. The first recounted his own personal experience with waterboarding in military training, here (http://www.freeconservatives.com/vb/showthread.php?t=54688). What made it HoF material wasn’t that, however; it was his defense of torture on the battlefield that was so original and so compelling.

Moon's second item was the most gorgeous exposition of chess I’ve read anywhere. Unfortunately, after I had copied it to the HoF, somebody merged the copy with the already-existing thread; when I tried to clean up that mess by deleting individual posts, the board took it to mean “delete the thread.” We’ve lost that fabulous exposition and it’s my damn fault.

At any rate, with two HoF posts to his credit this month, my vote goes to Bluemoon_Rising.

Okay, I just want to say that I've never had my arse handed to me so nicely before. That's why I'm voting for Bluemoon. :)

Either Venus or Prez, and to change it up a bit, I'm going to vote for Prez.

Prez for me too. Might be the only "Prez" I vote for this year if things keep going the way they are.

A week or two back I planned to vote for Prez. I haven't changed my mind since then.

I have to nominate MaxParrish... He's been exceptionally lucid and eloquent on more threads than I care to cite...

Prez.

I can't even remember what the subject matter was, now, but there was a post a couple of weeks back where she handed some idiot [probably a Rupaul voter] his hindparts on a platter, and it nearly cost me new laptop. I didn't think I would ever get the coffee cleaned up. Computer, desk, walls, floor, and out my nose! [I think that post makes her heading the ticket at the end of the year for the Slice and Dice Award.]

Venus gets HIGH marks for the DNA post, and every other post on that thread --and I didn't bookmark it [much to my sorrow]. I hope I can find it again.

There have been a lot of really well thought out political posts this month.

A lot of you deserve high marks.

[HINDPARTS. How's that for cleaning up my language, Rhino?]
