Yea, I know what ya mean, Taylor. I turned 50 thirteen years ago, and I'm still here.

And, at your age, I'll bet your dad worries more about you getting older than he does about himself.....................

I'm only 44, but I think that people assume I'm much older when they see my gray hair. I have 18 and 19-year-old co-workers. That's weird, because I have shoes and clothes older than that. In fact my truck is older than that.
The strange thing for me is, I have no idea where the last 23 years went. Really. 23 years ago is when we moved here to South Jersey, and it seems like yesterday to me. It really, really seems recent to me. But then I look out the front window, along the driveway and out towards the road and I see all the 40-foot trees that used to be knee-high. That's strange.
I don't feel that I've gotten any older, yet I am a much less shy person. I've been at my job for nearly 18 years now.
And then the kicker is, there was no internet, no CDs, DVDs, etc. in 1985 when we moved here. Wow.

My dad's 45 and has already lost most of his hair. Don't worry about it Taylor.
Old people are like toddlers. It's always fun to confuse them. ;)

A few years ago there was a woman in Pennsylvania who was 122. They did a big story on her in Life Magazine. Her son at the time was in his mid 90s. I think the woman was a great, great, great, great grandmother or something like that. I still have the magazine around somewhere. So compared to her, none of us is old!

Me? I work for a Marriott golf resort in New Jersey. I work for the golf grounds maintenance department. I can't believe that in March it will be 18 years since I started there. I don't know where the years went.

Getting older?! I beg your pardon, you pup! Your father is in his prime! Hmph! Young people are the limit. http://foolstown.com/sm/hmm.gif

Hon, I'm past 50 and believe me, I still have a lot of mileage left in me.

Taylor, take care of your father. Love him and listen to him. I lost my father last October. He was in his 80s, but that didn't make the loss any lighter.

Enjoy your father, Taylor. You're lucky to have him. :)

Hell, I'm middle aged....66 in April.........some days I don't feel a day over 65...other days I feel a day younger than 65.....pretty constant. My doc says I gots the body of a 64 year old, so I don't think I'm doin' too bad.
Don't need Viagra or Cealis yet......have no clue what ED is....haven't had to slip on a pair of Depends yet......"crotch" commercials are boring because they aren't selling me anything I need. But I DO need my 13 year old grandson to come over every now & agin' to make the clock on the damned VCR to quit FLASHING 12 O' CLOCK!!!

edit: middle aged you ask.....or maybe ya didn't, but I'm gonna press on anywho......yeah, I wanna live to at least 132.....because there's too many people I wanna (have to) piss off before I check out, and my list doesn't seem to be getting any shorter as quickly as it used to.....something to do with those friggin' liberals I think.....and then there's a growing list of people I wanna see assume room temperature before I do! Yeah, I wanna stick around.....I think I've earned it.

Tell your dad next birthday that he's celebrating the 26th anniversary of his 25th birthday. It will make him feel fuzzy inside...

'Getting old' is a state of mind - Now, if I could only remember which state I left mine in...

It's interesting how as a teenager, I seemed to know pretty much everything, and then when you start into your 20s (at least, that's when it happened for me, lol) you start to realize just how smart those old people are.... :D

Actually, to all those wiser people on here, I have an older and wiser friend of mine who once told me, "Don't ever let anyone ever tell you different: old age ain't for sissies!"
